An Indianapolis man is wanted for child molesting and resisting police after a bizarre incident in Lawrence.

Police say Michael Hill, 25, started a telephone relationship with the 13-year-old victim two months ago after the two began conversing in an internet chat room.

Investigators found the teenager invited Hill to the apartment the teen shared with her parents Monday night. When the adults heard a commotion coming from the girl's bedroom, they forced their way through the door and found a naked man hiding underneath the teenager's bed.

According to the incident report, the victim's father called Lawrence police, but only after conducting his own “interrogation” of the suspect.

"Yeah, he pulled him out, and had a 'chat' with him. That's what he told us,” said Robert Bowser, Lawrence Police Department.

The father's call also brought an ambulance crew to the apartment. Investigators say Hill's mouth was bloody, and he could barely respond when paramedics asked him why he was short of breath. "He expressed that to the police and to the fire personnel that arrived on the scene, that he needed his inhaler from his car, and then he had symptoms like he was having a seizure,” said Bowser.

The paramedics put hill on a stretcher, and got ready to load him into the ambulance. Police say that's when Hill broke away from the gurney and, while only partially clad, ran from the scene.

Experts think the case shows why parents should stay aware of their kids' phone and internet use, including text messaging. "Parents probably have to do a little investigative work of their own, because these parents certainly were not aware that a 25-year-old man would be coming into their house at 12 o'clock at night,” said Bowswer.

Detectives think Hill faked his breathing symptoms so he could escape from police Monday night. Police say his previous criminal history includes convictions for intimidation and battery.

Then he runs away, half naked...

Well, I suppose she could have lied about her age, and, if she were one of those 13-year-olds that look really mature which seem to have started popping up when I was going through high school, he could have been dumb enough to believe her. I can't believe he wouldn't figure it out when he went to her place and found out she was with her parents, though.

Reminds me slightly of this story I heard a while back. These two furries meet on Furcadia, which is some stupid furry game-thing, anyways these two furries meet. One is a 20-something woman, the other is a 20-something male. They then fall in love. Finally the woman invites the man to her home in Pheonix, Arizona. The man asks his mom for a one-way Grayhound ticket from their home in Winconsin. Then when he gets to Pheonix he calls the woman and he finds out that she is actually a 13-year old boy. The man is shell-shocked to be frank. So now he is in a bus station is Pheonix with no money because he thought he would be staying with am adult woman, and he is stranded 1000 miles from home. Then this other guy, who is apparently the internet Howard Stern furry calls the two after finding out about this story from other furries (apparently every furry knows everyother furry), without them knowing it's him, and tries to work things out. Then after a long conversation he just starts mocking them for being stupid. They hang up, he gives a monolouge on not believing how stupid people can be, and that's where our story ends.

Sounds like he didn't get caught. I can't believe the police fell for his trick and let him get away. The father should have just killed the pervert right when he found him. If only there had been guns in the house . . .

Erhm, my boyfriend is 19, an adult and still lives with his parents. It has to do with the fact rent is much too expensive (and there is no point for him since his parents live near our university)..

Dont get me wrong, this guy is a piece of crap, but some of the blame must fall on the girls shoulders.
How many 13 year old girls would invite some 25 year old guy to her parents home?

I'm 22 and I'm living with the parents again. It's rent-free while I try to force my years in college to get me a job.
