I do not smoke, but I do not believe cigarettes or tobacco in general should be banned.
Nope.
People know the risks, so if they want to smoke and damage their own bodies then that's their decision.

whats with all the cigarette banning threads? can't we keep it to one at a time (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=437125)? I mean I know people are just very eager to stop this great threat to humanity and all by stripping away yet more civil freedoms and all....
Over time.
Like first we ban the sale of cigarettes to anyone new, and you need proof that you were a smoker since like September 2005 in order to purchase cigarettes.
Then when those smokers die out, WE STRIKE WITH A SEXY NEW LAW THAT BANS CIGARETTES!
Because cigarette smoke annoys me and I don't have to wait an hour at the bus stop waiting for the school bus while some junior decides to take a drag and the smoke is blowing my way.
Next time I'll hack in your face. Smokers nearly killed me when I was 1 year old. Now I've got asthma and I'm sick of smokers.

That aside. I think the world would be better off if cigs get banned. That's why I voted yes. That is my "opinion". I'm not going to actively pursue that goal or support those that do.
