Air New Zealand NPC
Kicks off in 19 Hours or something and once again Harlesburg looks forward to the Worlds Greatest Provincial Rugby Competition.

Now the Question is whos going to win?

Wellington
made final last Two seasons but won neither missed Holwell after his departure for Britain.

Canterbury
Might struggle without All Blacks for first 6 rounds but after that will probably make top 4.

Auckland
If they played like the Blues in the Super 12 just say Bye Bye.
Won it 2 years ago.

Otago
Feared at The Brooke a revitilised Anton Oliver will do wonders if he can get over his ankle injury.

Bay Of Plenty
The darlings of The NPC.
One of the smaller provinces in the first Division have shown great heart in the last 3 seasons made the top 4 last year.
Will miss Glen Jackson though.

Taranaki
Without Brooke James have started the last 3 seasons well only to collapse midway through season.

Waikato
Will be missing some of their finer players to All Black commitments.
Look out for Soseni Anesi and the 10

Southland
.....

Northland
David Holwell and a bunch of Potheads if he can lift the team they will do well.
Upset Waikato in a preseason game.

North Harbour
May surprise a few teams have floated around the bottom of the pack in recent years but on their day they must be Ph3ared!

I wouldn't be surprised at another Wellington-canterbury final.

The shield will be interesting. Wellington is 3rd in line for a crack at it in the first division..

Players I'm keeping an eye on:

Ma'a Nonu (can completely own this competition if he wants to.)
David Holwell
Jamie Nutbrown (Marshies replacement. Rumour has it that canterbury tried to import in someone else)

Can Gopperth follow on from his rookie of the year super 12 performence?

Paul Honis is a Bitch!

Wellingtons pick and roll was horrid and ball control went out the window.
Nonu as Captain is like me as Captain on a Footy field.

Boonytopia are you on P?
BOP are ok theyve proven it the last 3 years but without Jackson they are missing a World Class Player!

Bloody Taranaki blew the Shield Challenge!
2 maybe 3 missed penalties 1 missed conversion and a last minute Drop goal from 20 right in front.
Fevre had a shocker after coming on at 9 for King.

I've failed to watch much NPC this season. I'm going to the next 2 wellington games though.

I listen to it on the radio when I work. Wellington finally getting their shit together on friday was nice to hear.

We wernt keeping it tight when driving off Rucks and mauls resulting in the ball carrier getting isolated.

Apart from that we have been neutralised because the Refs wernt keeping an offside line.
People were Bitching about Gopperth's Goal Kicking after the Otago game well news to them Wellingtons wind is a bitch and he had some really tough shots one of which swung both ways in the wind.

Bay should be shot as well as the naki.
Southland finally won a close game it was awesome to watch far better than Petre brain explosion against Waikato or the heartbreak against Dorkland.
