11. Always kill the NKVD. If Comrade Stalin really wants you dead, he'll send more.

I was going to go point by point through the ones I disagreed with, but after reading it, I don't actually agree with any of them except 10 -- particularly 1, 2, 8, and 9.

These rules make sense in a twisted way.
12. If you happen to be James Bond in a film, don't fuck with the tuxedo. That stuff costs hundreds and hundreds of dollars and they can't afford to buy new fucking tuxedos. So unless your willing to skin a penguin, which are awesome by the way, your not going to spill anything on the tuxedo! Got that? Good.
Those guys could afford a 20-story mansion wallpapered with tuxedos.
With a few minor alterations... 1. You are the most important thing you have.
2. The goal is power. Power over everything and everyone and if you fail you should just become extremely wealthy a kill a whole lot of people.
3. Weakness is bad.
4. Trust no one. Trust will get you killed.
5. Never interact. Stay hidden or you will die
6. There is nothing but you. Everybody has been brainwashed, terrorised
or lied to so they worship you. But you won't care about them.
7. The world loves and fears you, so you should hate it and abuse it.
8. If you hate it, destroy it
9. Other people's emotions are weakness
10. To fight and to die are worthy causes for suckers who do what you say.
This is Chairman Mao's list, to the letter.
I just finished "The Unknown Story", man the fucker was even more evil than I thought he was. At least Hitler believed in something.
13. You can shrink this entire list into the title of sith but whatever.
--Hmmm--
4. trust no one. Trust will get you killed.
There are those better than you and you should put your trust in them in order to survive. A basic tactic used by man ever since we started hunting in tribes. As the saying goes: "A person is harmless, People are dangerous."
5. Never imtertact stay hidden or you will die
Hermits never gained power.
8. if you hate it destroy it
9. emotions are weakness
So you're acting on a weakness?
10. to fight and to die are worthy causes
Fighting and dieing is not a cause, it's a means. You fight and die FOR a cause. Not to mention that fighting will reveal yourself, a contradiction to number 5.
Rewrite it again :p
A lot of people on Nationstates pretend to be philisophical. Ever notice that? I've noticed that.

Most of the people on Nationstates try to act like the bad ass lone wolf who relies on no one that way the other users will look at me and say: "Wow what a bad ass!"

You deserve a cookie for that quote!

A) Never eat at a place named, "Mom's"
B) Never play cards with a man called, "Doc."
C) Never go to bed with someone who has more troubles than you do.
D) If you get up in the morning and eat a live frog, nothing worse can happen to you all day.
E) If you have a lot of live frogs to eat, don't eat all the little ones first.
F) Once the damn thing is airborne, the brakes are no longer your problem.
As for #10. Fighting and dying for a cause is noble. Fight and making the other PDB die is successful.
Most people... or just you?
I never said I was a badass. I'm the humble jock/forum prowler that points these things out.
There are a lot of people on the internet who take up the persona of the "badass". You'll see it a lot here too, people will act far more cynical and cold than they would in real life.
But I just thought... since you were all with the "some people want you to think they're a badss lone wolf" and your location is "in the lonliest wolf den you might find"...

Reading it at the moment… I thought the OP's list more resembled Stalin, who at least was a warlord rather than a lecherous idiot.
Fighting and dying are NOT causes. They are what is done for a cause. Fighting for fighting makes one an orc.

The self really isn't all that important without others is it?
You can never truly see your self. Much of the concept of the self comes from viewing the response of other in connection with yourself. So many of these argument don't hold water & seem to give off a cry for help.
Is something bothering you enough to seek assistance from others?
