no prob, its actuallly a decent fps. Doesnt have anything on Halo 2 though, which coincidentally pretty much swept Gphoria earlier tonight.

I wouldn't mind a FPS that actually have diffrent enviorment. Like one could be a snow covered woodland. Another could be the jungle. One could be a major city etc.. Black Hawk Down sucks in that department.
Try battlefield 2 or SW battlefront, they have many different envronments

Id wait for battlefront 2 myself, 1 was a bit repeatative but a lot of the issues have been worked out for 2. But for fps, stick with halo 2. Its innovative and damn fun to play. If you go for battlefield 2, id wait for it on console, unless your running a super computer. besides, the pc versions pretty buggy and EA isnt helping.

And why exactly shouldnt I be modding? I've been modding the Refractor 2 engine(read: BF42 through BF2) since 2002, and am currently in a quite progressive mod for BF2. Modding does nothing but increase player-base and fun of the game.

Actually, I'm pretty sure that he's playing CounterStrike:Source. And I know you did NOT just say that Halo 2 was better than CS:S... ;)

The only person who says Counterstrike is better than Halo 2 is someone who has never played Halo 2. CS is more tactical, ill give you that, but halo 2 wipes the floor with it in every way that matters. If youre looking for replayability, go to bungie.net. At any given point there are at least 30,000 people online playing Halo, not bad considering its about a year old. I do like my CS, but its completely outclassed. If youre really gung ho on the tactical aspect, sure, CS is good, but no other game offers as many gametypes and as much customization as Halo 2. Especially if youre looking for a game for multiplayer, halos the best around.there is such a variety in matchmaking, and it has the party system. The fast paced action of Halo 2 online is matched by none.

Well, the fact that there are over 10,000 CS:S servers up and running all the time indicates an even greater player base than that of Halo 2. Plus, I've played both Halo games. And, everything I've heard about its online play is that its entirely popluated by annoyingly small children and hackers. That's not to say CS doesn't have its share of these people, but its better controlled in PC land.
And, from my experience playing Halo, I can safely say that the TimeSplitters series has it beat.

Online used to have these problems, but they are almost completely eliminated now. I cannot explain why there seems to be less annoying kids, and as for the hackers and standbyers, there numbers are greatly reduced. The "Bungie Banhammer" has dropped and hackers continue to get banned. You still run into your occaisional cheat, but thanks to the autoupdate, standbying is now pretty musch effectively eliminated. In fact, today if you standby in a game, you actually get thrown automatically from the game. Also, as for the modding community, bungie can now detect the modded box as soon as it signs on to xbox live. If youve never played online I suggest you try it. If you haven't played it online you have no right to judge. Campaign really isnt what Halo 2 is about.

By the way...not a new discovery...My brother claims this site to be the funniest thing ever. I'm having a bit of trouble with the BitTorrent software necessary, however.
