The point was to revisit old interfaces :)
Though some of the computer youngins wont remember
(also brought about by the fact that microsoft was talking about revisiting something simmilar)

It was released for windows 3.11 and windows 95
it died a HORRIBLE death ... the biggest flop in microsoft history ....
Of COURSE I had to find a prated version :)
Anyways they are looking at revisiting and using some of the "alternitive" interface things as options for possibly vista (on top of the current changes to the gui)

Why did it do so poorly?

Odd, it looks exactly like windows xp to me, except with a warcraft skin, a creepy-looking, paperclip-imitating mouse, and a slightly different minimized-window-tile-thingy - whatever you call that.

Top picture is the program ... it is an interactive layout ... most of the objects in there are actualy programs that are runable (and the tombstone with the firefox symbol is firefox imported)
its not just a backround
Lol but I did the shots with it starting up (the bob logo) and with the startbar to show I got it going in winxp when it was made for 95
