Bilbo baggins, once slayer of dragons and barrel rider, reduced to fighting the guy who coined the phrase "whatcha talkin bout willis?"
Gary Coleman, actor, mall security guard and gubernatorial candidate, reduced to fighting a fictional Tolken charachter.
I'd say Bilbo, because he's used swords and stuff before, and it's not a proper duel without swords.

Gary Coleman can take that short hairy foot hobbit any day!
I'm saying Bilbo; after all, he did turn in to a monster when Frodo showed him the ring in Fellowship, so I'm guessing he could pull that off in a fight. Plus, his height is natural and wouldn't negatively affect him as much as GC.

plus he was a security guard and all and is probably licensed to use a gun, whereas Bilbo is only gonna have a short sword and some armor that doesn't protect him from a headshot. Now, if it was a fight between Coleman and the Gouch....i'd have to go with the Gouch :D

if we're talking bilbo from the hobbit rather than bilbo from lotr, he would beat gary coleman's ass. he does, afterall, have a ring of invisibility and a kickass magic sword. even in his later years, bilbo would put up a decent fight and could take that bich down.

It will all fall back on who is better at throwing the first stone. A good ranged offence will win since there's no way either fighter can run fast enough to catch the other guy before getting seriously injured.
And we all know that hobbits are good at thess kind of things.
