I wanted Derek to win, I'm devestated that he was evicted! He was the best one in there: he caused a bit of trouble, but not too much; he was funny; and he was genuine. More than can be said for most of the other people left in.

It is, quite frankly, stupid cheep rubish. The only reason Channel 4 keep making it is that it costs so little to make and they are under contract to make 10 of them. The only reason its popular is because it appeals to the lowest common denominator. Not because its any good.

I hope Makosi goes: she really irritates me. Like on Friday when Derek went, she was all nice to him, saying goodbye and stuff, when she was slagging him off behind his back to Craig! And Craig thinks that Eugene is evil and hates him. AS IF! Eugene wouldn't hurt a fly.

Dr. Who's awsome! (do you mean the new series? I watch it on CBC ev ery week! Except this month....season 1 is over, so they're taking a break. :( ).

Actually the reason it is so good is that it makes me realise that i am actually quite normal and less F**cked up than i thought i was. I refer to this programme as my goldfish watching hour every night!!

Oh, and the ONLY one who deserves to win is Eugene as he is the most normal sane one in the darn house.

And I doubt it is that cheap to make: you have to build the house every year, you have to have all the cameras, you have to have all the electricity and water bills etc. And then you have to have all the phones for when people vote.
And lowest common denominator? What's all that about? And whether it's any good is personal opinion. As I enjoy it, I want to talk about it.
This isn't a thread for debating whether BB is any good or not, or whether you find it stupid. This is a thread for people who watch and like the show to talk about it coming to a close.

Its not intellegent, its not dramatic (beyond the levels of idiocy you get in playschools), it doesnt require any talant on the part of the participents. The sucess of this show is just the reflection of the belief that you dont need talant to be fameous, and that anyone should be able to do it. Firstly, yes you do! Fame should not be about a random selection process, it should be about actual talent and actual ablity to do something well. Its not about this unquantifiable trait of "personality" and "bubbleyness" and "loudness". Being "loud" or "bubbley" and having lots of "personality" are not what should be making you fameous. What should be making people fameous is an actual ablility to do something well. A TALANT

I agree with Eugene and Kinga-I don't know why but I really like Kinga and Eugene is just hilarious in an annoying way. I don't agree about Derek though...I'm glad he's gone...he was annoying me. I think there is a suprise eviction on Wednesday isn't there? :)

I think that the Doctor Who approach to Big Brother should be used; the evicted contestants get rendered down into meat, like the Daleks did to them. The winners should be mulched as well, in fact.

Since most of your points are your opinions of the show, it is difficult to counter them with anything other than "vague deflections."
In bold: are you suggesting you swap the ordinary public for celebrities - or their equivalents? That would make it Celebrity Big Brother though, wouldn't it? And as you already have opinions of the celebrities that go into the house, it is difficult to watch the show and not be biased.

Personally I think BB is good, easy going and amusing entertainment and I enjoy it, it's also fun to talk about what has happened with other people who have also watched it!

If you don't like it then don't post - go play troll somewhere else. I don't think BB is that much of an entity to have to have a mass discussion about it!

I think that's the whole point of the show myself. I've noticed how the jobs on the German version have become more and more proletarian. If it's his opinion that people letting themselves get filmed while being in a small place is idiotic and he provides reasons, you can discuss with him.
If he called people that watch it mindless and stupid, it would be personal. However, BB is actually a show anticipated for a stupid audience. If you want me to, I can go into depth on that and explain why.

He's not being racist or insulting you personally. Reporting should be reserved for those instances where it seriously crosses a line (and that happens often enough here).

I find the show mindless and stupid, and I watch it anyway because it ammuses me that I'm not a desperate fame seeking nobody who is willing to do *anything* to get five minutes of fame.

Let's see, some things I'd never do on TV in front of millions of people, but which have been done this year on BB:

- Screw someone in the jaccuzi then pretend I was pregnant.
- Screw someone in the jaccuzi then pretend I was too drunk to remember.
- Sexually molest someone while they were too drunk to resist.
- Dress like a whore for most of the day, then wear nothing at all for the rest of the day.
- Act like a jelous two year old because I think it makes good TV.
- Engage in Sexual behavior with people I dislike because I think it makes good TV.
- Make up idiotic deception schemes (Which I think are really clever) because I think it makes good TV.
- Congratulate myself constantly for being clever, after having made myself look like a vain, shallow bitch.

God there's too many to list and I'm getting bored of this already.

Suffice to say Big Brother is the most despicable show on TV and I love watching the pathetic publicity whores striving for their fifteen minutes of national ridicule.

That said, I really like Eugine, he's honest, a CB-radio geek, and he does a really funny chicken impression.
