If Hillary was elected President, would she unite or divide?

If Hillary Clinton was elected as President, would she unite the country or divide it? Would partisan bickering elevate or cool? Poll coming.
Considering what America is like, I don't think anyone could unite it.
Must admit that I don't feel comfortable voting for any of those options...

I think that the option i picked "Unite - I'm a Republican and I admit it! " is closer to the truth than any Democrat or Republican wants to admit. Plus I think that just might unite the country a little. Ooops I don't know where my head is at. I was thinking that it would be Hillary saying "I'm a REpublican and I admit it" .

i'm a democrat and a liar? i'm not a liar. well if hillary was the president; the good thing would be she's a woman, and the american population is about half female. but since she is in the field of mostly males, it would be very easy to divide the nation more. I am optimistic about her, and hope that she will unite especially after all the dividing bush has already done.

Virtually any candidate put up by either major US political party is certain to divide the nation at the moment. Not for any reason besides party bitterness really...

She would divide, and while men are going overseas and staying there. If Hillary is elected, more men than ever (including myself) would go overseas. It'll be like rats fleeing a sinking ship. I may to to the Phillipines myself.

She already had her 8 years in office. Let's give her husband a chance!
Honestly, a lot of people won't like to hear this, but if we have one more election like the last, we'll be tossed into a civil war again. Let's face it, we're already divided, Democrates and Republicans calling each other dirty names and stuff. We're already on the road. We're the world's longest lasting democracy, but we're already starting to collapse. Every empire must fall, and we're just caving to ourselves. I'm sorry everyone, but the next election, if anything at all like the last, will result in a civil war. All I can say is that I'll fight for which ever side stands for the original values. I don't think Hillary does. The only way to avoid this is to find a true leader who represents the true core values of the United States of America. Until then, I'll be in my basement, cleaning my rifle.

Considering that I don't think things can get much more dividied, I think any president that doesn't follow directly in Bush's footsteps will unite more than divide. Bill was rather good at keeping bi-partisan decisions coming, so maybe Hillary would be as well.

Ehhh I'm not so sure about that. Bill can work an audience. He knows how to play to the audience and he knows how to pursuade an audience. Plus he looks good on camera. Hillary is brute, shes rough, and half of the country hates her. Plus, she does not look good on Camrea. She does not have Bill's Charasmia.

The difference being that Bill was a generally amiable fellow. Very few except the hard right really had much of a dislike for Bill, but Hilary is seen as somewhat of a stingy bitch. And Republicans by and large despise her. (probably just as much as Bill despises her, hell, one barely has to imagine how long it's been for him to be desperate enough to mess around with Lewinsky)
Hell, one of the guys on my floor last year had a sign that said "Clinton/Obama '08, Real Men for America." And that was the kind of ticket he'd vote for too.

Why do you see her as a stingy bitch? I don't like her because of her stance against violence in video games.

It's the image she exudes, there really isn't any logical factual reason for it. It just kind of seems like it to me. Perhaps she looks like one I happen to have known at some point or another. Not sure.
That's another part of my problem with her. What seems to be a hint of populism. Restricting both economic and moral areas really gets my goat. Maybe I've stopped making sense ten minutes ago. Who has any idea.

The US political atmosphere is so polarized that it will take more than just Hillary to "unite" the country -- if that's possible at a time like this. Her recent move to the moderate "squishy" middle is politically motivated and not out of her own reflections on what kind of person she should be -- that's in my opinion of course. The country is so polarized right now that moderates are seen as either too weak or not strong enough to take a position on anything, thus, the extreme wings of both political parties are getting a lot of traction with their ranting and raving. I would like to see McCaine (how is his name spelt?) and Guliani (how is HIS name spelt?) run together. McCaine has wanted the presidency for a decade. I think him and Guliani are the only two people strong enough to fill the void of George W. Bush during a time of war (go to other boards to really get into this point). Plus, I think people like those two, and if you don't, you can atleast respect them.

oh ok - I wasn't sure if it was policies she supported or what.
I don't think she looks stingy but she does look like bitchy and woudl do a lot of finger-wagging.

She is trying to paint a picture of being a moderate, but she is no moderate and many people agree with me. Rasmussenreports, one of the last accurate decent polling places (one of the few that was right about the 2004 election, predicting Bush would win) shows she is much too liberal:

I would like to see a uniter, not a divider like that bitch Hillary (pardon my language, but I really despise her with a passion like many Americans). I want to see John McCain or Rudy Giulani get the nomination for the republican party and win.

You know what I'm saying, and yes I do use a different definition then you because there are plenty of examples of liberals and Liberals.
