"I haven't read the rest of the thread but..."

What makes you think what you have to say hasn't been said already!?

(obviously this doesn't apply to opinions)

depends how many previous posts there are :p

but i don't mind. i can't. i do it a lot, and if it pissed me off that'd make me a hypocrite... and thats bad

It doesn't bother me if the thread is huge. But if it's just a few pages (few in my books being 10 or under), I don't think people should just barge in.

Well, depending on how long the thread is, it could have long since diverged from it's original discussion. For example, on the "Bible Bashers" thread and "Homosexuality=Sin" I didn't read a single page and jumped right in.

That's what I like, though. It keeps the discussion evolving in to something new every page or two.

I never post that, even when that's what I do. I usually only resort to not reading what's been said before when the thread is too long to bother.
