What kind of history do you like?
Do you like current events, 20th century, 19th century, or before all that?

Ancient History. Rome rules. Greece was awesome. Who doesn't love Egypt?
Very interesting. I'm interested in the Roman history but I don't know a lot of it. I love discussing history, do all of you?
I'm partial to post-WWII history, specifically the Red Scare up to today.
I love World War II and the Cold War. I also kinda like the whole passeger ship history like the Titanic and Lusitania.
Does anyone want to talk about history on AIM? IM me writguy89.

I like to read about the Roman Empire in its glory days. And I have always been intrigued by World War 2. The Viking age of course.

I prefer findings from pre-history based on anthropology, archeology and related disciplines.

Cool. I'd like to take some medieval history as part of my course, but there's not much on offer, unfortunately. :(

I like it all but preffer modern history (about 1800+).
Every aspect of history with the marginal exception of landscape history is great... did anyone else fall into that trap whilst doing A'level history? damn that was boring!! But Asian and modern African history is really interesting, especially Gandhism, look it up!! Oh and the Tudors, Henry VIII kicked some ass!!
Wow, I'm surprised so many people like the ancient age. Very interesting but I like the modern stuff. Easier to understand.
If your interested, IM me writguy89 on AIM and I'll give you a good website to look at.

Took me the time to accomplish masters in contemporary history and pol.sci. to realise that i really loved ancient history (Greek, Roman, etc.). Registered yesterday to start bachelors (at least) in archaeology. I need to buy me a brush and other tools (whip?) now... Back to U at the tender age of 35. Sweet.

I try to pick up as much as possible. Not studying history, but I have two bandmates who do and I really enjoy talking to them about it.
I like all of it, really.
I was especially interested in Greek, Roman, Byzantine, and Turkish history a few years back... I've since lost my overwhelming taste for it.
Right now, I'm interested in the Monongahela river valley, circa 1850 - 1986.
I love talking about it but I have no one to talk about it with, would any of you like to discuss some history?

Sure! ummm.... Did you catch any episodes of last year's american idol? How about that S. Cowell..?
Very funny but I don't think American Idol is stated as World/American history.

If you count the "History of Shitty Music", then, yes.
Haha, if we're talking about shitty music then I think we should all try to imagine Hitler on American Idol and Simon Caldwell telling him he should seriously consider suicide.

Yeh, I count it all. I forgot to mention that I fancy cultural history too... thought I could mend it by mentioning very current history... oh well...

I like American history, mid 18th to mid 19th centuries. (So much so, in fact, that I'm getting a PhD in it)
Throw in Roman history, especially the fall of Republican Rome and the rise of the Empire, and the age of the Vikings, and it's time for some real fun discussions.

19th-21st century American history. I'm also intrigued in ancient Roman/Greek history and their astounding architecture.
