Who wants to help me start a politic/history board?

I'm interested in creating a discussion board for intelligent people who want to talk about politics and history, even general stuff, and not be distracted/harassed by spammers.

Anyone interested in helping me create one with me?

Come on, are you serious? No one in here is interested in helping me set up a politics/history forum? It seems like everyone here has something on their mind. So why don't you help me?

Because this one does just fine for my purposes.

Yes but mine would contain a better organization forum and have better discussions.

It's a waste of time/effort. You can't make a spammer/flamer proof forum...and NS General already has a large population. The hardest part in creating a forum worth anyone's time is populating it.

And how could you guarantee that?

Beating NS General's organization is not an accomplishment.
and have better discussions.
No it won't. You won't have anyone there discussing anything, and even if you did, it'd be the same people every time.

Trust me, I have a system here. If you don't want to help me then fine, don't post in here, but if your interested then I can assure that this forum will be run very well.

I don't care what kind of system you have or how well you think it will be run (theory and practice are very far removed, after all...running a forum can easily be a full time job, and people don't realize that). The fact of the matter is, you have nothing if you can't get traffic...and NS General mods definitely aren't going to put up with you leaching from here.

Besides, what's wrong with NS General anyway? Sure, maybe it could be a little more organized, but big deal! At least there's always a multitude of good conversations going on.

I'm just asking for help, not members. Although that would be helpful. So basically, I'm not leeching.

I know you're not leeching. But I'm telling you (from experience), that a forum, no matter how well set up and thought out it is, is absolutely NOTHING without a population. You're best off starting without a plan and with a large population and letting the plan develop itself so that you've not wasted your time.
