Today, when I entered to the web page, appeared a 403 error (from the department of homerworld security)
it says that this game is providing material to terrorists... because here it is sayed the word "freedom", because we can dream with an other social government...

also, in the final says: "War is peace, Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is strenght"

is tihs an attack to my rights?¿

please solve it (however i can enter to the game)

*if it's possible answer me in catalan or spanish, or english and spanish simultaneosly.

Describe the problem.
I am soory to be contacting you, however I dont know who else to contact. This morning when I went to my brwser bookmarks and clickend on Nation States it took me to a light blue screen that said "This page is forbidin by the Department of Homeland Security" For providing means for terrorists to exchange information. I am not joking, I take this very seriously. I then retred my bookmark and got to my nation. What happened, and is The DHS goingto show up at my house and bust me for playing this game? Help me out please.

Describe the problem.I logged on to nation states and it said this site is forbbidden

This notice just popped up as I was in transit from one region to the next (white letters on light blue background -- was unable to save it via html): [snipped copy of the homeworld page]

Maybe you know this already but the U.S. government has place a watch on this site. in a few days you will see more of this. The department of Homeland Security has made this a forbidden website so please warn all American players that they may recieve a visit from U,S, Agents

[name edited out by Sirocco]

Describe the problem.I put the nationstates address in the toolbar and instead of getting nationstates I got a warning from "Homeworld Security" saying that nationstates "provides information to terrorists" and acts in violation of "Freedom" and that "agents would be contacting " me. It then asked if I wanted to continue to the site, and I didn't link in through that, but through Yahoo search for NationStates, and got in normally. So I don't know if that was a joke on the NationStates site, or some goofball, but that's what happened.

And later by the same person:

Describe the problem. Please disregard my previous post about the "Homeworld Security" I'm an idiot and forgot it was April Fools Day.

Telegram I received

I have a problem to bring to your attention. I wasn't sure if it was a spam or whatever you call it (since I am not a computer genius) so I thought it would be better if I sent you a telegram concerning the matter.
Every time I type in the web address and smack the ENTER button, a blue screen appears (looking VERY official) saying that I've have broken several rules, given material assistance to terrorists and that if I enter or have entered the site I can expect a call from government agents! Is this real or is it a joke? If you have recieved millions of other telegrams saying the same thing, my apoligies. If you would like more infomation, contact me and a will get back to you with the nessacary (how do you spell that?) infomation.

IRC Log from #themodcave. The worried nation's name has been edited out.

These are (pretty much) all tasks sent to us through the Getting Help page when we put up our April Fool's Day prank (http://www.nationstates.net/hws.html). This page showed up whenever anyone logged in. Another thing we did was to make a UN ranking called "Nations most likely to be deleted by the mods". There was a lot of speculation as to how it was ranked and I don't see any reason to hold it back now. It was completely random. If memory serves correctly, the nation in the #1 slot was called Estrato.

The thing was, the last two nations on the list were like Nazi Europe or something like that.

lol, Sirocco...Next April Fool's, you should list "Nations Most Likely To Be Deleted" as a long list of the most prominent NS players, mods, and of course, [violet], signed by "Max" with some message about how he needs to purge the evildoers and plotters from the system.

Or, if you want to piss people off, plaster "All your Nation are belong to Mod" everywhere.

Yeah, I'm slightly bored.

That's pretty funny. Maybe more modly revelations will be forthcoming! Probably not though.

Reminds me of a great April Fool's prank in 2000 by triple j, Australia's national youth radio station.

Several months out from the Olympic Games and not too long after some reports in the media of possible irregularities in the bidding process, Adam Spencer faked a news report saying that Sydney had been stripped of the games. He didn't tell the triple j news teams that it was a joke (instead he had a special reporter "on the scene" in Switzerland) and let momentum build, even including a voxclip from the Premier (the head of the state government).

When the televised news programmes picked up on the 'story' he announced that it was all a hoax. Very convincing and very funny.
