So...if Kim Jong-il lives for as long as his father did, he will be running North Korea for another twenty years or so.
He is reportedly grooming his son, Kim Jong-chul, to follow in his footsteps as ruler of North Korea.
Jong-chul is currently 24.
Basically my question is, if Jong-il dies sooner than his father (he is 63), do you think Jong-chul will effectively seize power, or will there be an attempt by some other high-level official to gain control...
...what effect might a coup-like takeover have on the country?
