I just read that Bush just went on holiday for over 30 days. Several of my colleagues have their last day today before they go on holiday. It seem's only I won't be on some beach the next few weeks.
So I wonder how about you? Do you plan on going on holiday the next few weeks, if so where do you plan to spend it?

Summer holidays is a big no-no for my family since my mother is working. really I just laze around the house.
But we do go away for Christmas holidays, that is when we get to see our relatives in Malaysia, and since my sister won't be with us, my mother and I are planning to go to Phuket for one to two weeks.

I think all the Europeans are already there. They probably won't answer up.
Personally, I like the idea of using all the vacation that I earn every year. The company doesn't give it to me so that I can save it like money in the bank. They give it to me so I can relax and come back to work refreshed and ready to produce. One is stupid not to use it.
I just read that Bush just went on holiday for over 30 days. Not at all atypical for a CEO. A bit on the light side actually, especially since he is still "on call".

I will be taking part of my holiday time to go to a wedding over the first week of September, and the rest to spend in the woods trying to kill something this fall. I like venison. :D

I have to go back to Germany for a week in August, because I promised my mother. But I hope to get out of my obligations for Christmas, though ;)
But I will be going on a REAL holiday with a friend of mine to the westcoast of the island in September. I'm so looking forward to that.

Well...I don't get paid vacation at my job (part time) and I'm a student...
However, one of my coworkers who is full time and gets paid vacation is also in a local band. He doesn't really take vacations, but if he has a gig to play on a night he is supposed to work and someone covers for him, he uses some of his vacation time if the gig doesn't pay well. Pretty smart I think.

16-20 days. I am a student, but in the summer I work full-time in order to pay my expenses for the rest of the year spent studying.

I possibly will be spending the entire month of September off-work...who knows, maybe even longer. 5 years in the military, I think I've earned it...
