EDIT: Well, to get rid of that spam, I'll make another topic.

Would you rather be wealthy and in a dictatorship, or poor and in a democracy?

...This is prolly gonna be winding up in spam, but, pfft. I've been claiming for years that I'm the Prime Emperor of Canada, so you automatically lose. And thus, you are to be sentenced to death.

Wow.

That is spam.

And your claims to the throne of Canada and Alaska are invalid. Unless you beat Her Majesty Elizabeth II in a no holds barred cage match. Then you can have the throne.

But as long as we're claiming this and that, I hereby declare that I am Jon I, Emperor of Mexico and California. Why, one I like mexican food, and two, I know I won't need to cagematch an old woman to get it.

Rich in a dictatorship. As long as I've got my luxuries, I'll be alright. Much like the court of Louis XIV; however, when the revolution comes, it'll be time to make a break for the border.

Depends on the dictatorship in question.
If this is a fairly benevolent dictatorship with a somewhat stable government, sure, sounds great. There are many benifits to a dictatorship, however unpalatable the whole idea may seem.
Of course, if it was a Saddam-style rule by fear job, I would take being poor in a democracy, at least Ill get welfare then :P

If you're rich and in a dictatorship then you're either the dictator or you own the dictator so I'd go withrich in a dictatorship.

If the dictatorship is corrupt (like always), you can get whatever you want. The key is to not get too close, to avoid being killed for security reasons. The life of a decadent noble removed from politics is best in a dictatorship.

Would you rather be wealthy and in a dictatorship, or poor and in a democracy?

Depends. If I am the dictator as I am in Celtlund I vote for A. However, if I'm not the dictator I'll vote for B, get an education, get a job, and become rich.

Dictatorship. That would solve 2 of my problems: My want of money and my hatred of democracy. :D

Really, it all depends on the conditions. If the dictator is mindlessly cruel and likes killing puppies then I am out. If the dictator is not too evil then I am in. If the democracy is in a poor country filled with crime I am not going to be there. If the democracy is America or some other society where you can get ahead then I am in(unless the dictatorship offers a better deal). It really depends on how bad the respective nations are.

This is some strange mutant definition that does not mean spam then?

<Spam (electronic)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.
Spamming is the use of any electronic communications medium to send unsolicited messages in bulk. While its definition is usually limited to indiscriminate bulk mailing and not any targeted marketing, the term "spam" can refer to any commercially oriented, unsolicited bulk mailing perceived as being excessive and undesired. In the popular eye, the most common form of spam is that delivered in e-mail as a form of commercial advertising. However, over the short history of electronic media, people have done things comparable to spamming for many purposes other than the commercial, and in many media other than e-mail. Spammers have developed a variety of spamming techniques, which vary by media: e-mail spam, instant messaging spam, Usenet newsgroup spam, Web search engines spam, weblogs spam, and mobile phone messaging spam.

Spamming, the name of which derives from the Monty Python Spam sketch about SPAM brand processed meat, is economically viable because advertisers have effectively no operating costs beyond the management of their mailing lists. Because the barrier to entry is so low, the volume of unsolicited mail has produced other costs which are borne by the public (in terms of lost productivity and fraud) and by Internet service providers, which must add extra capacity to cope with the deluge. Spamming is widely reviled, and has been the subject of legislation in a number of jurisdictions, including the United States' CAN-SPAM Act of 2003.>

If you can just make up a random definition for a word it ceases to have any meaning at all.

Spamming also has a different meaning in the context of forums.
