Ok, i've been playing NS for years now and this is the first day i'm reading theese forums. So far i've seen the following:

-A bunch of athiests whining about the words "In god we trust" in the pledge of alliegence

-People claiming that gay marrage destroys society

-People claiming that straight marrage is foolish because the world needs no more children (partally a valid point, but nobody should be denied the right to have children).

-People claiming that people who make/sell guns should be punished for crimes commited with thoose weapons

-Other, random moaning and bitching about harmless things that have nothing to do with the person who is moaning/bitching.

Its like seeing a badger walking towards the woods. Are you going to just let it go, or chase it and try to beat it to death, possably getting bit in the process?!?

If its not harming you or anyone else, LEAVE IT ALONE!

Words in the pledge (Unless thoose words are "We pledge to kill babies") are harmless, if it makes some bible thumper happy to say them, so be it. It'll distract him long enough for you to de-holy his holy water.....

Gay marrage.... straight marrage.... WHO CARES?!? Just pick a hole already and leave everyone else ALONE to make their own choice! Were not on TEAMS people! Its not a fight to recruit the neutral players! Let people make their own damn choice!

And don't get me started on the guns..... here is the new policy: You fire it, its your fault. Agreed?

Now if a gun is sold to a guy in a bloody t-shirt, well, thats different. But if background checks return clean and the gun is sold, the seller should be cleansed from responcibility!

Unfortunately, some people are...well...uneducated...or stupid and debate their positions on their opinions instead of fact. :(

And other still think that they're debating from a position of fact, and yet are deluded, either by circumstance (upbringing, exposure to those sorts of thoughts only) or because they want to believe what they do.

And this is one of the reasons that debate occurs. To find out fact.
(then again, another reason is to just take someone and cut them to pieces. Humanity's cruel like that)

I like this guy. There's some issues I have with what you're saying, mainly that the loosening of morals and changes in our way of thinking alter society as a whole, but alot of what you say is true reguardless.
