i know this could become a very heated debate, but i'd like everyone to present their respective arguments calmly and rationally.

whom do you prefer, William Shatner or Leonard Nimoy?

as actors, musicians, human beings, whatever.

i don't have Mr. Spock's Music from Outer Space (despite being an avid collector of electronic space music) nor do i have Transformed Man (despite being an exotica enthusiast). i do, however, own Has Been, which is quite impressive.

i dont actually watch star trek, so i'm ignorant in that regard as well.

and let's not forget the priceline commercials...

I met William Shatner. I blew up his tank. (Long Story). Anyhoo... He is a surprisingly down to earth kind of guy.

I never met Leonard Nimoy, but I've heard similar about him.

personally i've always found Nimoy's acting skills to be somewhat better than Shatner's

Leonard Nimoy seems like he's a little less full of himself, though IMO, he would have more reason to be. Even if he were a real ass, I'd forgive him, because he's hot. Always was, and he has only gotten better. And he's Russian. What can I say, he holds the key to my geeky commie heart. :fluffle:

William Shitner is just a fat ass, geezer, who can't act.. so he works for priceline.com because he can't get a job anywhere else.

His same job as "spokesperson," is held by a wooden gnome at Expedia.com. In fact, Priceline almost permanently got rid of Willy during the dot com bust.

Nimoy was good at doing Spock because naturally, he's a weird guy.

as for the question in hand: i know very little of either of their non-star trek work (bar one really awful Shatner movie i bought... and subsequently returned). on a star-trek basis, Nimoy is probably the better actor in terms of he carries off Spock so well, but then he's pretty much like that in real life too :p
