Transferring compositions onto the internet

This is vaguely about my national anthem, but I'm going to keep it vaguely, because otherwise someone might tell me that this belongs in Gameplay (and if I post it there, I'll just end up getting almost unintelligbly awfully invited to join seven equally appalling regions, and have a transvestite make passes at me). I trust the General crowd more with regard to this sort of thing.
I've composed a piece of music (which could just be Gruenberg's national anthem - and no I don't have a life). Is there any easy way of producing a version of this that I can upload to some internet site, and thus link to it, short of i) recording it all myself (which is not going to work - for a start, I don't have a cello) or ii) buying some exorbitantly priced piece of Sibelius-like software? So, if I have a score, is there any internet site or reasonably priced programme that will convert that into an audio file?

I don't know, but would you like to join one of my seve n rejons-al named afrte the sevedn' sisters cats-each with it's own cat of a seven sister theme? Or perhaps go on a dayte-you can pick my gender, big guy...
Actually, I really don't know. It sounds to me like you have to plug that into a MIDI and have it play that or something, but I got out of electronic music right about the time of the rise of m-pegs. So I know how to make m-pegs out of movies from Final Cut, but how to make the file for music not so much. I assume it takes an authoring program of some sort. Someone hipper than me is sure to answer you, so really this is just a complicated and premature bump.

yay i feel loved... and trusted :)
there's some programs i've looked at in the past that would seem to be pretty much what you're looking for, though they only do midi n will sound shite.
lemme see if i can find em again
http://melodypaint.com/download.html seems pretty decent, with 7 instruments and auto drum tracks. you select which instruments you want each colour to be in the Music Settings box and can have multiple voices for each instrument.
only problem is save is disabled in the trial version. you can get round this by setting your PC's recording channel to "what you hear" or "stereo mix" or equivalent, and playing your composition while recording in a program like Sound Forge (or Sound Recorder... or even windows movie maker XP could possibly be better)
anyways i'll leave that little problem up to you. hope this helps :)
edit: yay i'm hip too :D

Put the composition into Anvil Studio. You can legally download the whole program for free then save it as a .midi or .wav...

Well, thanks for the tips. Melody paint's not working well, but in part that's because it hates my monitor. It really hates it. Anvil seems better. Thanks anyway.
If you can play guitar, the power tab editor is good for making midi's. www.power-tab.net

shame, melody paint seems perfect for making a shitty sounding mid national anthem :P
i might make myself one:D
or maybe just adopt Whats In It For Me by Pitchshifter :D
