Crabs, herpes, you know. The usual. Gotta make sure she's clean.

Well, the first thing we may notice is beauty, but that is the last thing that is important. Once you've singled out a chick for being, "hot" or "okay," then it's time to look for their personality. Really, I don't mind here as long as they're tolerant, and have a sense of humor. Lastly, and probably pretty important is the intelligence factor. I'm not looking to go nail some chick that can't score above an 80 on an IQ test. Seriously, you've got to be able to do simple mathematics, and requires someone smart.

I'm lazy so I ditto this guy. Except I demand more in their intelligence. Honors classes like me, can actually prove me wrong, and hopefully a political opinion and the ability to back it up.

When cosidering potential partners, what do you look for in a woman?
My dangly bit :p

I'm shallow as hell in my choice of partners, so I usually don't play with people who don't fullfill all of the following criteria:
Beautiful face
Short
Slim
Fit
Punk or Skin

For someone to be partner material, they have to have a brain and an attitude similar to my own. I highly doubt I could ever fall for a rightwinger.
My criteria aren't set in stone though. I have fallen for 2 girls that only fullfilled the brain & opinion criteria (read: they were ugly), and I've been with some that weren't punkers or skinheads.

Hmm. I honestly prefer her to be unquestionably less intelligent than myself. I have often wondered if that makes me chauvinistic.

I seek a woman that is highly intelligent but respects my intelligence and is preferably stronger in a subject that I do not care as much about but I still respect. I also require that she have good moral character because I am an insane moralist but still have problems with the whole idea of not slaughtering every person that makes a mistake, so therefore I need someone that is less judgemental to balance out my insanity. I also need a strong and loyal supporter that will help me achieve most of my insane objectives. I think that I want to dominate but not to totally dominate because that would mean that my chosen partner is weak.

While I agree that the large intestine is important, I find I can do without all the baggage that comes with a chick who has a small intestine, too. I mean, what? Is she tryin' to say she's better than everybody else?

I don't get all this "She must be highly intelligent" stuff. What could be more annoying than spending the rest of your life being corrected at every turn? And forget polite correction, that'll wear off after the first eighteen months (if you're lucky), after that it's "Aw jeez honey, you got us the bagged lettuce again! Gosh it's so sweet the way you waste all my hard earned money cause you're too damn thick to realise it's 150% cheaper to get a full lettuce, even after I've told you seventeen times so far! It's so nice how you ignore everything I say!"

Well, if you get a stupid woman then you start to feel like a special ed teacher. Pretty much most people want someone that they can have some sort of friendship with and mutual respect, stupid people can be harder to be friends with(explaining every joke would get annoying) and it is hard to respect someone who is beneath your abilities.

Part of the reason I want a smart woman is because I consider many many people stupid so to be considered decently intelligent by me a person must be above average. I just do not like dealing with fools.

All my friends are of average or below average intelligence, with little exception. I like spending time with unintelligent people. There is no pressure among them to act intelligent and they give you an unusual amount of respect. There are other abilities besides intelligence, you know.

So far I have never concidered anyone a potential partner at all, but the first things I would look for are the following, very unusual things:

1. The ability to understand and respect my individuality.
2. The ability of making use of pure, ice-cold, logical thinking, behaving rationally, as well as overall having good intellectual capabilities.
3. Behavior patterns which are relatively compatible with mine. (so that we wouldn't be excessively irritated by eachother)
4. The ability to be able to hold deep, meaningful conversations with me, and not minding the lack of mindless small-talk.

That, you could say, is a basic filter. If a woman would pass these requirements, then that means there is a possibility of her being a potential partner. If not, then she would automatically be excluded.

Willing to have anything to do with me. The stupid ones, the shallow ones, they won't want a guy like me. So, therefore, any woman who is willing to have anything to do with me is acceptable.

You never know... I know I would be very suspicious of a woman who suddenly got unusually intrested in me.

No way of knowing that immediately, is there? I'm hoping that I can work that out if it happens. But I think there are people who'd could be more useful than me in that regard.

It may be true that with dumber friends they respect you more but dumber people get on my nerves. Dumber people are stupid, their ideas are not as good as my own, their lifestyles are rather stupid, stupidity annoys the crap out of me if I am constantly surrounded by it. I guess I tend to be one of those nerds who thinks that if you can not take the derivative of a simple function you are a retard(the example was a bit more extreme than I am but gives insight into my personality just the same).

Wisdom, in part because only have enough wisdom to realize I have barely any wisdom at all. I'm not talking about common sense or motherly advice and addages. I don't want or need to be told when not to break the speed limit and such. Its kind of hard to define really, but I find it very attractive.

I also look for Grace, the kind of beuty that transcends time and most stereotypes too.

Of course I also look out for all the usual traits most men do: Intelligence, Personality and Looks (yes, looks, but I'm not looking for a certain type of good looks or gorgeousness) etc. etc.

I work as a computer tech at a school district. Let me tell you, there's nothing more hilarious and depressing than listening to a 60 year old teacher try to tell you why her computer won't work. Typical convo:

"The screen is black."

"Is it plugged in?"

"Oh."

However, many of them are excellent teachers. I have many friends who are less "intelligent" than me, but they make excellent friends. Why? They have other qualities that mesh with my personality, like loyalty. However, I wouldn't want to have a political debate with them. There're either too stubborn or shut up when they realize I have an opinion. My friends who are as intelligent as me or more intelligent are more fun. We get into some really lively debates, and I win as much as I lose. That's a good time.

Well, I tend to like intelligence partially because it creates more and better activity(they think more and have better ideas). Certainly some stupid people have good traits but smart people usually have traits that seem better. I tend to see my intellect as one of the more important aspects that I have, the other tends to be my will and ability to achieve. Stupid people usually do not have either of those qualities in great amounts, they may have the will but not the ability to achieve in many cases. Part of my situation is probably my arrogance.

Just messing, I know I have a problem with arrogance. That is part of the reason that I want my woman to have good morality. I tend to be a strict authoritarian, it would probably be good to have someone who is highly moral but actually realizes that humans are people and that I am good but often can be misguided(often, all the time the difference isn't that big :D )

You're not alone. What is a smart person though? Someone with a high IQ? Someone with enough intelligence to be able to bullshit his way through any situation (*cough* me *cough*)? Or someone like my uncle? My uncle can fix any car, from any era. No problem. Ask him to do his taxes, and he's lost. Is he smart? Yes, but in his own way. My point is that the division between "intelligent" and "stupid" is more gray than you're presenting it. Personally, I think you'd be better off losing the chip off your shoulder, and realize that everyone around you is better than you at something.

You do make some good points but I need someone who is good enough to take the place of someone who is sort of an equal. Bullshitting may be nice but I do not like lying. Fixing cars may be important but taxes are also important. I need someone who can take care of things, someone who can help fix things when my empire fails and the emperor has royally screwed himself. Someone with broad enough mental ability to respect, I tend to excel at most things that I put my mind to and I need someone with a tendency that is similar enough as so they will be very useful. I also have a strong tendency towards some level of independence and require that a mate have some ability to be independent(make good decisions on their own), my tendency towards independence is not that I can not accept outside order or anything of that nature either. Better at something does not mean better at all that is required for living.
