Well to be fair we did also get voted stupidest government by the international stupidity awards (a former post hereabouts).

And oddly, Australia is one of the few other countries I wouldn't mind moving to. It seems like a very nice place. Plus I wouldn't have to learn a new language or (in the case of french speaking countries) refine a second language.

Ranking countries in a global survey (based in Seattle) to determine most popular country by international popular reputation through several catagories.

And thanks go out to the poster of the rankings above.

That's just a tad misleading...

Yes, Canada was named as the stupidest government by a comedy festival award show that was being held in CANADA! I'm willing to bet, no matter what country the festival had been held in, that country would of won. It was an award given out by comedians..lol I wouldn't put too much stock into it.

Whoops, I was actually being ironic but alas forgot to apply the appropriate supplement... ;)

Even though I support a different political party than the current Canadian government I am still usually very in favour of their actions.

Hah~!

This poll must have been taken before the banning of GTA3 in Austrailia. Well I am not big on their Govt. anyway but now I am boycotting them.
:p

Good job, Canada, this will really piss off those who hate Canada here in the US and I couldn't be happier because that is usually the right-wing conservatives who hate populist govt.'s and although they are quite angry already this will make them angrier which will shorten their lifespan. HAH!.

I would be interested to see what questions were asked and how they were asked. Not that Canada doesnt deserve the rank they have. But would be interesting anyway.

Canada is great. Our country is young, and culture takes time to develop. As with all great things, we will only get better with age.

Well, I'm white... and it would surprise me a lot of Australia has fewer south east asian people than southern Ontario. Given the proximity of Australia to India, you would think that would be the first choice for emmigrants from there.

Australia, particularly Melbourne where I live, has a very large asian (Vietnamese, Malaysian, Chinese, Indian, etc) population. I disagree that it's only a good place to live if you're white.

The NDP nearly got BC in a provincial election. The BC NDP got my riding, same with the federal NDP. WTF?

OMG!!! BC is being run by "fake" liberals!!! lol
