Who will be the mods in....

....2006? 2007? Who do you think are the most likely people to be modificated? Which mods do you think will be most likely to retire in the near future? You can even give the breakdown of Forum Mods and Game Mods if you want.

i reckon you'd make a pretty decent mod. you don't put up with BS (though are missing m0dtasic powers to do anything about it ;)), help out noobs and tell people clearly when their threads are in the wrong place or are saying something they shouldn't. thats good mod behaviour, that
as for how likely any of this is... Myrth retired but there's no indication they're looking for a new (forum)mod to take his place (didn't cog take over myrth's position? i really don't know). there's also no indication that any of the other mods are likely to leave in the next few months... but then again you never know what might happen....

Czardas
Euroslavia
Sarzonia
Aerou
Lunatic Goofballs-if i had my way
Sanctaphrax-seems like he would be good at it.
The Czardaian envoy-maybe you as well.
Kanabia-I could even see he being one.

Why thanks.

Yes there is. If you look in the mod forum there's a thread for nominations for a new mod. there's also no indication that any of the other mods are likely to leave in the next few months... but then again you never know what might happen....No, but mod retirements are never obvious. Unless the mod never does anything much (like Menelmacar, who I haven't seen in ages, or TJHairball, who has only 800 posts and is still a forum mod, even though his nation doesn't exist anymore).

Has it ever occurred to you that 'Czardas' and 'The Czardaian envoy' are one and the same? :D

I am a Programmer and Sys Admin at work - so I guess I am a Mod in some respects (except responsbilities ...).
As for NS, a bit of wishful thinking helps

Cog was a mod well before Myrth. Since Myrth was dismissed, Katganistan and Frisbeeteria were promoted from Forum Mods to Game Mods.
In regards to the question: Euroslavia would be a sure bet (assuming he'd like the job). Other than that, I wouldn't be counting any chickens. I come from a different part of the forums, so a few of my personal favourites wouldn't register over here anyway.

Fris and Kat.
And Myrth performed so well at the Mod Olympics (which see in the Archive forum), he needed two mods to replace him. :p

I've served as a mod on several boards in the past, ain't an easy job I'll tell ya! You need to be smart about how you conduct yourself and how you make your rulings. You cannot falter once you make a decision, but you cannot at the same time make stupid or selfish rulings.
In order to be a mod, one must be something of a...benevolent dictator, creating peace and preventing choas, but commanding confidently and without predisposition.
Anything less...well you remember what happened during the October Revolution...?

I think I can place some pretty sure bets on who the future mods won't be... :D
(I, for one, wouldn't take the job if it was offered to me. Which it won't be. Too many of the mods remember me from the old forum.)

hmm i think, if offered, i would go for it. it depends what the expectations on how much time you have to put in were - i can, and do post sporadically throughout the day (the advantage of working from home and being good at what i do so i can catch up easy:D), but if i had to be here for x hours in the day then it would be different...
What happened in the october Revolution?
Hahaha...Read your Russian history comrade! The fall of the autocratic Tzars and the birth of the Soviet Union!
