Two suggestions:
- Change the font. Too large, your text doesn't always fit into the text area and makes the whole look a bit amateurish. Also consider changing the color to black or dark grey.
- Hire a professional to take your photos.

Over all it looks warm and clean. Which is an unusual and welcome change. But to even things out I might put the links at the top in a bar, perhaps below the banner. Some of the text doesn't fill the boxes you want it in properly, could be a problem with my older version of Moz, I didn't look at the source. The VIP dialogue should match the style of the site, as opposed to default XP. A link to where the business is on maping software, or a direction finder wouldn't hurt either.

I don't know what kind of traffic you're expecting, but hosting your own pictures, and matching the style of the picture pages to the site, would look more professional. The people modeling the stuff probably should try to minimize how selfconcious they look, and if they could be properly lit that wouldn't hurt.

Pretty decent for helping out a friend though.

Explain what the store is on the first page.
Change the font!!!
Fix the text in the last section
Add pictures the first page, be certain they are well done
Pick a background other than plain white

I like the fact that the site is 'homespun' and would prefer it to be kept on a friendly 'woman along the street' level than trying to make it look like just another corporate business.

The women in the photos are great, it's always nice to see real women instead of glam models.
The only thing that I would say however is background, mess detracts from the image you are trying to show and a bit of thought on the background that the model is stood in front of always improves an image.

I agree that the text needs working on, don't like the font and would prefer to read something like ariel, but I like the colour.

Over all, if I were looking for this type of clothing and found this site I would much rather buy here than some huge store site.

mmm...
1) change the font to something more "business-like".
2) photographs from "photobucket" site as displayed are too big (and should also have some text next to them)
3) buy a fashion magazine, any one, and copy the setups and backgrounds (plain background preferred) and also try to imitate the way the models stand/sit.
4) definitely get rid of the messy background in the photos.

... but the more important part is the PROMOTION of the site. Have you thought about how are you going to let people know about your site..? mailbox drops, some advertising..? don't rely solely on the search engines or you will be waiting for a long time...

agreed. also take the pictures somewhere different - somewhere nice, or at least against a plain background thats not boring white (light blue is always a neutral option). you might also want to think about investing in a flash gun and make sure you bounce the light on the subject from the side, as to avoid those nasty shadows - only present on one of the pics so far, but useful to think about for the future.

also, why on earth are your pics hosted on photobucket?

other than that i like the look of the site - very fresh and clean. you might want to think about adding a human touch to the front page though (a pic or something)

edit: what about branding and having a discernable logo?

if its thier own website, hosting the pics themselves would look a tad more professional

My opinion (for what's it's worth - 0 ;) )

1. Change that Courier New font to something more fancy - typewriter fonts I really hate unless on a invoice
2. Images are a little bitmappy with rough edges
3. Text doesn't fit boxes - looks funny
4. Use same font through entire web site for consistency

-Noted
-I'm having a local guy come around and do them. I'm probally going to have them done on Coochie Is. Because the rocks and sand like sock-rockingly good in photos I've seen for Aussia Vogue.

-Ok, I'll get right on resizing the text.
-I hate to sound like an idiot, but how would I go about making a map-type thing?
-I actually had some trouble uploading the pictures to my server, which is why I used photpucket. But, since it seems to aggreed, I'll host them myself.
-I'm listed on Google and I'm waiting for Msn and Yahoo to add me to their lists. I'm listed with a number of webrings and the url is on most of the advertising we send out, as well as receipts, letterheads, faxes, etc.

With google maps, mapquest, and a number of other services, I can just type in two addresses and get a route, or I can just get a map of a place, for pretty much any place of consequence in North America. I assume similar services exist in Austrailia, we've had them for a long time. If similar services don't exist down under, well, you should look into slapping one together as fast as possible and selling the company.

Going to map quest, one can pull up something like this:
http://mq-mapgend.websys.aol.com:80/?e=9&GetMapDirect=Gme5diw%2ca%3a9u12%3b%40%24%2elz%40glab2u%4025d%2d72u672%26y%405l68sd%40r%26h6aa0z%24xq yz00%402n56%2an%26u72u%2c%24xuzr%3a%26%40%24%3a%29at%265abxu6%24nq4%402u672u%40%24%3a9w72%210%2a%3ag z7n%26%40
With google? I can see you. Wave, I'll refresh the page.
http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=-27.474161,153.164520&spn=0.230051,0.271362&t=h&hl=en
(this one doesn't have area info yet, but, still a link to you from space is fun with a decent geek quotient, and if people are from the local area they might appreciate it. Also, if you're really ambitious you can use google's API to suck out their map data and draw your own pictures on it. (there are projects that do stuff like show you the sex offenders near your address in North America, and other stuff.)
