Really? Good. I like Giant Douche because a Turd Sandwhich is something that a 8 year old would say. Giant Douche is more of a smart person thing: while many people have heard someone call someone else a douche, most people do not know what a douche is. Also the ultra lame turd sandwich is a waste of food. Think of Africa and choose Giant Douche.

So I guess I shall start a thread then :)

No. Those are the issues people feel concerned about, and those are the issues they want to talk about. You don't have to enter those threads, read the posts, or participate in the discussions. Get over it.

I picked Gay Marriage, mostly because I'm a Canadian and gay marriage is legal, there is nothing left for me to debate. What was right happened in my country.. and other countries should follow suit as it is only a human rights issue. It's not about what your beliefs are or are not, it's about human rights and that really is the end of the subject. Freedom for all, not just who we decide we agree with, ya know.. ;)

I wouldn't recommend it.

I said evolution vs creationism, simply because they both resort to pulling out scientific "evidence" to suport their claims.

Then degenerate into name calling and blaming the other side for the name calling.

Ofcourse the only thing that makes threads like that readable is the occaisional "Well i went in my time machine and checked, i started life, i am god" post which then gets shouted down by insults.

I picked gay marriage because it is the least likely to affect anyone personally who isn't gay and wanting to get married, and the most likely thread to cause people to hate and judge others for not being like themselves.

Abortion and Creation are classic debate topics, good for honing logic skills.

I am unaware of the controversy surrounding the douche and the sandwich.

Here in the UK, hardly anyone gives a damn if two women want to marry each other.

We havn't quite legalised it yet tho, but it's obviously on the agenda.

ditto for Ireland - the only debate that will come will be around the adoption issue, everyone's for gay civil unions

Gay Marriage is old, but Evolution vs. Creationism is older still.

I occasionally look at these threads to poke fun, sorry I mean to put the "fun" in fundamentalists - (they're so easy to bait!)
