I will ,in the next three months, begin to plan a march to end war and national borders as well. These will be peaceful protests and I hope they grow into a movement. I simply hope for world peace, but I see no steps being made towards it. I hope to bring a new voice to the table. If you want to help in these efforts, I would be thankful for your help. The most misguided thought ever to burrow its way into a hippies mind was that marches and protests ever did any good. Why don't you use all of your energy to figure out what the problems are, and come up with a solution? The only good marching ever did was to say to the world " I have no solutions, but look, I can bitch about it!" You wanna fix problems? FIX THEM! Quit your damn whining!

I agree with your sentiments but think Sick Dreams does have a point. You need to have a plan, otherwise marching and protesting wont do any good. If your want to bring about world peace, first you need to identify the reasons why previous generations have failed to acheive this goal.

Obviously, one would not be able to achieve world peace by starting a war? Therefore the alternative is a peaceful protest, and if enough people get sick of the death and destruction that wars have wrought over the millenia, then they just might be inclined to join such a protest.

Just because someone does not agree with your worldview doesn't make them a hippy, and the fact that you seem irritated by peaceful endeavours, suggests that you are nothing more than a war monger who believes the only way to resolve issues is through armed conflict?

Well you did say that it was YOUR personal opinion, so you are thusly entitled to it. However, there might be a billion or two people who would not agree with you.

Protesting pressures the people in power to work towards peace and stuff. It's not supposed to fix the problem itself, but it's one way to help. Protesting protests won't help by anyone's logic.
