Why did not these "saboteurs" mention this planet was discovered by a Pole?
His name is Maciej Konacki and he works in the California Institute of Technology in Pasadena and the Polish Mikołaj Kopernik's University in Toruń.

I wonder if they have pointed the (HST) Hubble Space Telescope at this object yet (it still works). Discoveries like this add further meaning to the argument to keep the HST operational, rather than letting it fall out of orbit and burn up in the upper atmosphere in a few years, which is what NASA is considering allowing to happen. Truly a waste if you ask me.
Apparently there are indeed lots of large icy objects out in the Kuiper belt, some as large as Pluto, and Pluto is beleived to have come from this area.
I have heard in the past that Astronomers have predicted the existence of another gas giant out on the outer solar system, possibly similar in size to Uranus or Neptune. They beleive that there is a gravitational effect on the orbits of Neptune and Pluto which is being exerted by another object which has thus far not been seen, and this suggests that the object is fairly dark.
