Anyone know where I can listen to "For Whom The Bell Tolls," by Metallica? I'd buy the album, but can't afford to just yet.

BTW, if you're going to buy just one Metallica CD, I think Master of Puppets is their best one. Ride the Lightining, the one with For Whom the Bell Tollls on it, is second best.

I prefer RTL, but you can't really go wrong with MOP either.

Hell, age is just a number when it comes to musical tastes. My 83 year old grandmother likes Shakira for Chrissakes!

I know a 13 year old whose favourite band is Pink Floyd. I'm 32 years old and have been a Fleetwood Mac/Stevie Nicks fanatic for YEARS. My soon-to-be 51 year old father's tastes range from the Andrews Sisters to now.

For Eutrusca, if you have iTunes, you might want to try to see if you can get the song there. They cost $.99 per song.

I've been living on my military disability pension for the last few years and just recently began getting my Social Security payments after narrowly avoiding total financial disaster. I could buy a CD, but prefer to wait until I've paid off my morgage and other bills before spending money on anything else. :)

Yeah. I figured that out. But how does it work? Do I have to download some huge file? Will it harm my computer? How do I get that specific song after I download the program?

I've never tried to do that sort of thing before and would just like more information before I download anything. :)

I'm not familiar with the program she suggested, but I've used limewire, and it's free (for basic) and there is no adware/spyware bundled--it's completely safe. www.limewire.com I believe. It just takes a minute to install and then you can begin downloading in no time!

I have a Harmon/Kardon speaker system attached to my PC, with two tweeters, a mid-range and two sub-woofers on the floor. This song sounds totally AWESOME with that range! Woo hoo! :D

I agree ... totally.

Also highly appropriate for Iraq. My bros are going through their own version of hell there too. Wish I could go, damnit! So much I could do to help.

I was wondering if you'd like it. I have no idea what your taste in music is, but glad you like it.

"Sanitarium" and "Of Wolf and Man" are great too. Good to get the blood flowing when working out.

Make his fight on the hill in the early day
Constant chill deep inside
Shouting gun, on they run through the endless grey
On the fight, for they are right, yes, by who's to say?
For a hill men would kill, why? They do not know
Suffered wounds test there their pride
Men of five, still alive through the raging glow
Gone insane from the pain that they surely know
chorus:
For whom the bell tolls
Time marches on
For whom the bell tolls

Take a look to the sky just before you die
It is the last time you will
Blackened roar massive roar fills the crumbling sky
Shattered goal fills his soul with a ruthless cry
Stranger now, are his eyes, to this mystery
He hears the silence so loud
Crack of dawn, all is gone except the will to be
Now the will see what will be, blinded eyes to see
chorus:
For whom the bell tolls
Time marches on
For whom the bell tolls

Eut, you might also be interested in a (slightly more morbid) song by Metallica called One, and following that Disposable Heroes
cheery little numbers, both of them ;)

I use to be a Grateful Dead fanatic ( they called us "Deadheads" ). I like almost every sort of music, except for most Country & Western and most rap/hiphop. I like virtually anything that's well done and has a nice beat or rhythm. :)

Yeah, some. I was there for two years straight, September 67 to September 69. Did some really far out stuff when I was in counterinsurgency operations.
