Most played song

Achtung 45

Well, like most people here, it's getting late and I'm bored, so here's my random question: what is your most played song? This applies to only those with WMP, though I think iTunes have the play count thing too. If you don't have it enabled on WMP just go to the library tab>>library options>>choose columns...>>then check the box for "Play Count."

What is your most played song(s)? How many times have you listened to it? What is climbing up to the top spot? Who will take the gold medal!? How many songs/hours of music do you have? For me, it's Lawyers, Guns and Money by Warren Zevon at 45 with ænima by Tool closing in fast at 43. I have 2806 songs at 216 hrs 13 min 37 sec. And now it's almost time for Conan!

Klaatu - Hope
Badfinger - No Matter What
Sweet - Action
Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody

I like quite a lot of new music too, but these I have literally played to death, so many times I cannot begin to count them. The new songs I obsess about have not been around long enough to approach the numbers these have racked up. "Hope" in particular, has caused me to have to purchase two vinyl albums and two CD's over the years because I have worn out the album it was on.

I did see Aenima in someone's list though. Excellent song that.

I have 4560 songs (nearly 12 days). Of these, the most played are:

Sundays - Monochrome
The Mayflies USA - Getting To The End Of You
Silver Sun - Service
The Stone Roses - She Bangs The Drums

but dwarfing all these, with nearly twice as many as everything else...

I Am Kloot - Proof

Yeah, there you go. I'm pretty sure that Weezer's eponymous debut album is the most played album ever, in my stereo. Closely followed by Pinkerton.

My most played song right now would be "Love to let you down" by Life of Agony.

The most played song is Mudvayne's Death Blooms, its been played 21 times, but in second it's a tie between Mudvayne's Nothing to Gein and World So Cold which have both been played 20 times, I have 207 songs on the IPod and that adds up to 12.6 hours of music.

Intriguing question....

I am not sure, seeing as I have never kept a record... I tend to be a power-user; I'll listen to a few songs unendingly for the first few days after I download them and then move on to something new and exciting... That's how one ends up with 2600 songs on one's computer, I guess (Although it is a family comp, so some of the stuff is my siblings' and parents')...

In recent days there's been a lot of 'No Puedo Ma Sin Ti'/'I'm Your Man' by Enrique Iglesias, there's a Mighty Mighty Bosstones song stuck in my head, and a bit of both Theresa Sokyrka and Norah Jones doing 'Come Away With Me' just to make the mix a little bit more eclectic.

Strangely enough, Winamp has just decided to play 'It Don't Mean A Thing If It Ain't Got That Swing' by Eva Cassidy over and over again... So much for randomisation... :-S

Amazingly, that one comes up a lot here as well. The top 3 must be:

1: The Blitz - Warriors
2: Verlorne Jungs - Was war gestern los
3: Die Schröders - Saufen

I use the Foobar2000 player for mp3's and a good ole record player for the vinyl, so I can't really give numbers.

...So Dobbs... You're counting on getting reincarnated as Nina Hagen's mic as well? :p

1.Velvet Underground - Sweet Jane (33)

2. Velvet Underground - Rock 'n' Roll (31)

3. The Ramones - I Don't Wanna Walk Around With You (26)

4. The Ramones - Glad to See You Go (25)

5. Cretin Hop/Today Your Love.../53rd & 3rd/Beat on the Brat/Blitzkrieg Bop (tied for 24)

So Lou Reed takes the top 2 spots, but the Ramones have a larger quantity of songs in my top 5.

Hey, I found some Husker Du on my Dad's old tapes so now I've heard

Hardly Getting Over It
Dead Set on Destruction

and another one that I really liked (also from Candy Apple Grey) that Dad only taped about 1/3 of and didn't write the title (*grumble*)

So yeah... they were alright, the one I don't know the name of was the best even though I only heard a bit of it

Ooooh... Candy Apple Grey's good. It's not their best album, but it's still quite good.

My favorite song from it's Eiffel Tower High.
