evidence says no with all violent attacks... however terrorist groups seem otherwise capable of it.
if protestants and catholics can get on, so to can sunnis and shiites.
It's possible but going to take a long time. If you use Christianity as a comparison there is still some tension between Catholics and Protestants, (eg. Northern Ireland). The better relationship between these two branches of Christianity in most countries seems linked to social and economic progression to the point that while religion remains important to some people it is no longer their defining feature.

oh no? Look at the protestant movements in europe. Lutheran, Anglican, etc...
Catholics and protestants have been killing each other left right and centre on a person to person basis and on a national basis. So whats so different?
