I've found in my half-year here that very few people are interested in Husker Du, and even fewer have actually heard them. That needs to change!

They were a very talented band from Minneapolis/St. Paul, which formed in 1979. They started out playing extremely fast Hardcore Punk Rock, and progressed with each album, experimenting with different sounds.

Whether it's "From The Gut", "Newest Industry", "Celebrated Summer", or "Could You Be The One", there's something for everyone. Listen to all of their recordings, and you'll find at least one song you like.

Questions? Comments? General discussion about the band and its music? Then, by all means... Post here!

Yeah they're pretty good but as far as hardcore music goes I think the Bad Brains are better. I mean, put in Banned in DC and you just want to go out and kick someone's teeth in. Thats what I call fuck yeah music.

True, but what makes Husker Du so special is the fact that they're multi-dimensional. Every album is experimental, and sounds different from the next. It's truly deep, thought-provoking music. Damn good music, at that.

Bob Mould has a funny name ...is all I can say about this band.
I do generally like the kind of HC punkrock they play.

EDIT:played
