Gah..It'd be better if people put "Pagan/Neo Pagan" instead of "Wiccan" as a catchall.

Anyways, I'm an Eccletic Pagan.

Just get them to do the Belief-o-matic (www.beliefnet.org). It has more options anyway.

EDIT: 1. Mainline to Liberal Christian Protestants (100%)

LABELS LABELS LABELS

As my protestant friend said to me - we should actually forget religion, people need to just enjoy themselves !!

The constant threat of terrorist attacks seemed to have shown him there is no need for trife at these crazy times !

Institutionally? By that I take it you mean some sort of official affiliation.

So for me the answer is none. I am also an ecclectic pagan, my beliefs are a mesh of Buddhist, wiccan, ancient international pagan and a bit of everything really! But I'm not affiliated with any organisation, I find organised relation sort of repugnant, no offence.

Mechanist Wiccan. But, as a previous poster has said, I don't consider myself a member of any organised religion per se.

The poll was limited due to the number of choices Jolt allows, I know, but it's difficult to force-fit your beliefs into something like that when you don't fit any of the major categories. I fall somewhere into a sort of "Unitarian/Universalist," "Sorta-Christian" category, but I don't adhere to any particular set of beliefs, so I just put "Spiritual - Other."

I use to be a practicing Christian ( Sunday School teacher, attend-church-everytime-the-doors-open sort of person ), but the cognitive dissonance got too intense. Now I call myself a science-based universalist, but even that doesn't adequately illustrate it.

Liberal Protestant. I took the quiz and was fairly unclear on a couple of the questions, where two seemed to both apply/neither did.

What were the cognitive dissonances which you encountered?

Religion was only the "cause" in very rare cases. most of the time, it was an excuse and a pretext for murder...

That is why I set it as a matrix:

The General purpose of this one it to establish any institutional affiliation.

Ideologies can be covered in other sectors of thought on the polls (Theology-Proper, Soterology, Ecclesiology, Eschatology).

Once the polls close (13 days from now); the results will be used to compile a matrix; whose charts will be posted in the main thread; breaking down the various realms of religious (which includes those which are philosophical and/or secular/humanistic in nature) thought of the general posters in these forums.

I, of course, recognize not everyone is institutional. And will reflect that in cross analysis of the various polls.
