I spent some time reading through some of my old posts and all I can say is wow. I think I've matured a little bit since I first started my illustrious career as a ns general poster (hopefully). I suppose you could say I was somewhat of an opinionated ass back then without proper grammar and spelling... Who am I kidding I was insane. Anyways, im sure most of the people that have been here for a long time will remember some post that they wish they had never... er... posted.

Not really, no.

But then again, at my age it takes some time before opinions change ;)

My really old posts are gone, I think. I've only got the ones from the past year or so since we came to Jolt.

You mean you're not embarassed about how the God hates everyone's favorite hobby thread ended up? :p

Back then, I was an opinionated arse with proper grammar and spelling. I'm still an opinionated arse, but a more diplomatic one.

I started off on the board with threads that were attempting to temper the rough tone of other threads, and I've noticed quite a few others do this since. No, not really embarassed about it.

my old RP ones, yes. I broke most every rule.

my old general ones, less so. I sucked at debating then, I'm only marginally less bad at it now. they tend to merely amuse me.

I'm too stupid to debate a debate so I make an exception for myself :p

There were some I could have worded a bit differently, yes.

But the spirit behind them was still relatively the same.

The only posts I made which now bother me a bit are those where I totally lost my temper at some dweeb who was simply using his head as a hatrack and for little else. Thank goodness that has only happened a very few times. :D

If you search up Anarchy 92, my old nation... you'd see the most imature NS player ever.

I'm too new to be embarassed by my posts here, but I am embarassed by some of the old posts that I have made on the forums that I have been on for years and years.

Oh sure I am.

There are all my posts from pre-Jolt, which have been lost in the void of time.

Then there are my posts I made while high... and those were recent...

I'm not really embarrassed by my early RPs because for the most part, I wrote in AP style and that was my sense of roleplay. It wasn't until later that I decided to start writing in the style of a novel because that just wasn't my sensibility (I still have never read Tom Clancy, for Pete's sake!). But I like to think my roleplaying has evolved since my early days on NS.

As for my early posts on General, about the only thing I would say I wasn't proud of is when I'd make a couple of RP-like posts there. But then, I'm not on General nearly as much as I'm on the other RP fora. It took me a little while to realise the difference between In Character fora like NationStates or International Incidents and the out of character fora like General.

Considering that when I first starting posting here I was a jingoistic conservative Bush supporter, I’m going to say that, yes, this libertarian is extremely embarrassed by his old posts.

I'm really embarrassed by my future posts. Just wait until next Wednesday ... I'm gonna post a doozy!

I'm also seriously regretting this post right now ... and I haven't even submitted it yet.
