Who is the best runningback of all time?
The Answer: Barry Sanders. If he had as many rushing attempts as Emmitt he would have more than 20,000 yards. If he had played with on the Cowboys he would have 25,000-30,000. He could turn a loss of yardage into a touchdown on any play.

I'm not sure I understand how turning a loss of yardage into a touchdown is a big deal...
I mean, doesn't every play start out as a loss of yardage?

I mean when defenders surrounded him and he would find some crazy way to get through them.

I personally think Walter Payton was the best.

Emmit Smith, yeah.
And this is unrelated, but one of the best wide-recievers is Randy Moss. Not because he's the best (I doubt that), but because he's the only player to have his last-name turned into a verb.
IE: Two black dudes playing Madden, one dude jukes the other guy's defense, and runs for a 78-yard touchdown.. And the guy yells, "Yeah..Yeah.. I moss'd him... I moss'd him.."
That's not racism, though. I live in a black neighborhood and played Madden with 'em before and they SAY that. So, yeah, Moss must kick ass.

Emmit Smith, yeah.
Smith is barely top 5, he only had the success he did because he ran behind the best O-Line EVER, the best blocking Fullback EVER, and one of the best blocking Tight Ends EVER.
