it's free, too, unless you want to pay $14 (£8) as a one-off for a permanent guaranteed server spot and a load of bonuses. it's well worth joining as a guardian if you play and enjoy it, but just spending a while using it as a stop-gap between bigger games is fun, too.

I'm too lazy to make a link, but Games Table Online is a pretty cool sight if you have a bit of the table top nerd in ya. They have Nuke War, Kill Dr. Lucky, Euphrat & Tigris, Lemmings in Space and soon, Wiz War!!!

...if you can manage to get on after your intial guaranteed-spot period is over. Really, this game favors those who can pay WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too much for my tastes. This game is supposed to be FREE, but what's the point if I can never be *able* to play without paying? That, and the fact that it's really not all that great...

Bah, someone beat me to posting that link. Anyway...KOL=Best. Game. Ever. I started as a Pastmancer, ascended, and am now a Disco Bandit.
Teh Yard (http://66.139.79.219/~tehyard/login.php) is pretty sweet, as well. Of course, it's nowhere near complete yet, but it's still a nice diversion. Plus many of the people there are like those at KOL, ie. they are *gasp* smart, which is remarkable for a free online RPG.

KoL is a superfun game, and adventurequest is good when all you wanna do is clickyclicky. need patience for that one - diablo2 is better for random clickies in my personal opinion, and you can almost kinda play that online.

These days if you're not a guardian it's near imposible to get on.

yeah, got two of my multies (three total) ascended once, both working through as hardcore oxy as well. figure it's better for me, keeps me from wasting so much time online:)
