Because of the terror attacks, Londoners are beginning to pull out their bikes and ride to work.

I say good. Biking reduces pollution and is good for you. Now let's see the rest of the world follow...except they should get out of their cars, MT is also good!

Lucky arses. Everything is within 10 miles of everything else.

Try living in Southern California sometime. You'll die just trying to get to the movie theaters on your bike.

I beg to differ - I live in what is considered a central London area, and have a friend who also lives in what is considered a central london area, and it takes me 1 1/2 hours to get to his on public transport / 45 mins in a car. In the very centre of London most things are close, but London is immense, I think there are around 8 million people who live in it.

Maybe when some more muslim nutjobs decide to attack somewhere else. A lot of people commute to London so I don't think it'll make much difference. Terror attacks, campaigning for a cleaner environment, doesn't quite sound right.

Honestly, I'm surprised that it phased them enough to even do that, considering what England's been through for the past number of decades.

Yea, but a 2 stroke isn't very environmentally friendly.

When I was young I lived in London. I also had a girlfriend who lived in London. Great you say, convenmient living in the same city. Except that our houses were nearly 60 miles apart. (She lived out in Essex, I lived near Heathrow). Remember that the English like to live in houses, not appartments, and there are more than 8 million of them living in London. The built up area covers more land I think, than the whole of the Bay area connurbation. It is, however, fairly flat so cycling is an option. I used to trave by tandem (it was safer than a bicycle as the drivers actually saw me).

And of course it wouldn't have anything to do with the decent weather?
