I'm active in the Belgian green party 'Groen!' (www.groen.be) only on local level though...

I am not active in any political party. Why? Two reasons: I’m below voting age, and I live out in the middle of nowhere. Everything is quite far away.

I'm really not active in any political party, but I am very involved with my union, and so always vote for the Democratic party since the Republican party is so anti-union. However, I don't agree with the Democrats on everything, so I'm not active in the party.

None, as I don't believe that political parties properly perform their duties to represent the constituents that vote for them (instead, I believe they represent a "party line" ideology over and above their electors). I would very much like for my country (Canada) to move to a government-by-consensus system. It works for the Northwest Territories :) Yeah, I know, "The NWT, big deal"

Come to think of it, I should see about joining the Rhino Party...

I actively participate and support the Republican People's Party (Cumhuriyet Halk Partisi, center-left party in Turkey, which is the Parliamentary Opposition party right now). It is a member of the Socialist International (SI), which regroups all worldwide parties from center to center-left-wing, such as Labour Party (UK), SPD (Germany) or PRI (Mexico). It is also an associate member of the Party of European Socialists (PES), which regroups all center to center-left-wing parties from Europe.
The CHP ruled Turkey from its foundation in 1923 until 1950 as a one-party state, and when multiparty system was introduced in 1950, it ruled at different times, from 1961-1965 and at periods in 1974, 1977 and 1978-1979. It has successfully sent a peacekeeping group in Cyprus, after the initial operation launched by a CHP government in 1974 to help save thousands of Turkish Cypriots from Greek Cypriot genocidal policies. It has thus shown its attachment to saving humanity, and thanks to its rapid engagement, it has stopped the worst from happening in Cyprus.
It is also important to note that CHP was a party created by our Great Founder, Kemal Ataturk. Indeed, as he put it, he said that he had two great achievements in his life, those being, the foundation of the modern and secular Republic of Turkey and the foundation of the CHP. Therefore, the CHP is a party which is Kemalist, it has at its core the 6 principles of Kemalism: Republicanism (Cumhuriyetçilik), Nationalism (Milliyetçilik), Statism (Devletçilik), Populism (Halkçılık), Secularism (Laiklik), Revolutionism = Reformism (Devrimcilik = İnkılapçılık).
For more information, you can look at the official website of the CHP: www.chp.org.tr

Not involved. Too young, and I don't enjoy having a sense of responsibility for the community when my life still isn't worked out yet. I can't help others if I'm also knee deep in the mud.

Probably might join a political party in the future.. But then politics in Malaysia is all about $$$ and contacts.

I was once a dedicated member of the Young Republicans. I did this for about a year until I came to my senses. I expected that since we were the "young" Republicans we would be a bit more idealistic and do community service, that sort of thing. Turned out they were all sicophantic back stabbers just like older politicians.

Currently I otherwise have no real affiliation and try to stay away from politics. Whenever I want a candidate to get elected it is only because I believe them to be the lesser of two evils.

and how do you feel about other parties?

It would seem that most third parties don't really have the ability to really acomplish anything in the government, that or they're policies are generally just too strange for me. Of course when a thrird party does accomplish something it is like a a bumble bee, once it leaves it's mark it just dies away(ex.Bull Moose/Proggressive Party, Populist Party, etc.).

I wouldn't exactly call them populist; the media just tends to focus on small details and blow them out of proportion.

As for the Christian Democrats, that's more or less a necessary evil if we're to vanquish the Social Democrat beast. It's not like they have much to say right now, anyway (with a little over 4% of the poll).

I'm registered as a Democrat (US), but that's mostly just so that I can vote in their primaries, since there is usually someone in the initial voting that I can get behind. As for official ballots I don't recall ever voting single party. My house representative is a moderate Republican and I have consistently voted for him, while most of my ballot favors Democrats. I voted Green for president in 2000, but went Dem again in 2004, as I had been since 1980 when I voted for Anderson, before that voted for Ford in 76 and McGovern in 72.

Haha another one! - well I vote for them anyways,

I'm not active cause I'm living abroad at the moment and when I'm home if I don't get a job working for the civil service -(which requires you to be non-partisan or somethin I'll have to look it up) I'll get more active, but either way I'll be supporting green issues either working within the system for change, or working for a better political party to gain more mainstream acceptance!

Sometimes I dream of a labour/green government (of course it wouldn't all be roses, look at germany!)

Im no longer active in any party because I no longer live in my home country and the political parties where I live now either resemble each other way too much or are insignificant players with no hope of affecting politics in any real way. Then again, even if this wasnt the case, Im not sure that I would have much time to devote to these things in any meaningful way.

I'm a UK Labour member, but I'll probably renounce my membership in October (the month I joined). I wasn't particularly active during the election campaign due to a) exams and b) the fact that I didn't particularly want them to win. What I really want is a decent liberal party, and if it means I have to found it then so be it.
