Alright, there's this chick that's been staring at me for God knows how long. No wait, half a year. Looking at me oddly for a good half a year now.

I was walking from school and I merged behind her and her two friends, not thinking much of it.

She saw me coming closer to her and she seemed to look at me pretty surprised that I was coming her way. Her friends notice this and take a glance at me and say "*name*, he's gay."

Now. Two things. First off I'm not even sure they were talking about me. Although as far as I knew, no other guy was around me.

Two, I never really thought I looked gay....I mean sure, friends have told me that it looks like I wear make up...but really...

...I pretty much don't know what to make of this. I'm rather...confused...with the statement from the girls. Should I be insulted? Complimented? Flattered? A mixture of everything? I mean, this girl really is drop-dead gorgeous. And I don't really mind being called gay at all, because I don't even know these girls in the first place.

If a girl thinks you're gay, and you aren't, that's a good thing. It means that she approves of your fashion sense and thinks you're hot. Make sure you stress around her that you aren't gay.

Just talk to her. Be friends. They'll be dropping hints, though god knows how to pick up on them. You should be able to tell eventually.

Uhm, first off...girl's chat. A lot. Chances are you're paranoid (and maybe not 100% sure of your own sexuality, and I don't mean to imply that you're gay...just that you're 15 and possibly not 100%, and that adds to the paranoia).

Sometimes "he's gay," is girlspeak for, "He's mine and I'm warning you off because he won't like you anyway. I'm prettier anyway."

She and her friends all want you man. Now, you just have to be nice to all of them and let them duke it out.

Then again, notice that I said "Sometimes..."

Colodia, a “drop-dead gorgeous” girl is not looking at you, unless you, yourself, are good looking, not in high school anyway. If she is, she thinks you're weird. Her friends calling you gay is just an affirmation of this. So, stop being so egotistical, and get over yourself.

Depending on how big the school is I'd just ask her out. Remenmber, rejection is better than worrying: if she turns you down you'll be unhappy for a bit, at the moment you'll worry for ages. Obviously if the school's very small you might not want word about this to get round so maybe you should play it cautious, if you know any girls well you could get them to talk to her and try to find out what she thinks of you (I've done this before and it worked).

Good luck. :)

Not necessarily true... many eons ago when I was in high school, I thought the same thing Colodia is... a person kept staring at me and in general appeared interested in me. I thought it was unlikely and ignored it. I found out a year later that they had been interested in dating me. This of course was after they moved and their friends decided to tell me about it.
My advice to you is flirt a little and see if it is well received. If not, then move on.

Well since I have been very careful on this forum not to divulge whether I am male or female I will say this.... they were popular and I was virtually unknown. Dude that's where all guys need to get. Have you ever noticed how all the queers steal the girls when they aren't even interested. You go for her man. It doesn't work for me but if the queer charm works for you at first, go with it, and then make sure to act very straight around her, flirt and all that. So then you have all the good qualities of a gay guy, but you're straight, a girl's dream right.

Round my way, 'gay' is often a synonym for 'crap'.

Eg: "Shit, the arial's being all gay again, who's closest to the TV?"
Or: "I just got fired today." / "Oh no, that's really gay!"

I know it's nasty, but oh so funny..

She could have meant the kind of gay like he likes other men, or he acts queer.

She also could have meant the 21st century definition of gay, "stupid."

Well, I agree you can go over the line of asking too much. But I suspect your point of view is just an excuse for having given up before you've tried. Sure I've been rejected by asking people who weren't interested, and it stung a little, but I got over it, and the next time it was easier.

Meh, don't let them scare you. Anyway, I don't think they were talking about you, even if they were, don't worry too much about them and let them think you're gay. Why? Two things: If you try to prove to them you're not, they will think you're either desperate or gay. Second, acting uninterested, but fun and charming at the same time will only make you seem more mysterious, and with luck, unobtainable. Then they will want to go out with you.

And don't ask her out, just say something like "I know you want me, but at the same time have a reputation to live up to, so just meet me at *place*. We'll make it look like we just bumped into each other."

The only thing you know for sure is that her friends suck, becuase they were gossiping about someone, be it you or otherwise.

Secondly, it doesn't sound like you know anything about what kind of person this girl is; only that she's pretty. Don't fall into the temptation of being shallow. If you want to be happy for the rest of your life, never make a pretty woman your wife. You don't choose friends based on how hot they are, and you like hanging around them best. how much more so then should you select a love interest based on who she is?

Thirdly, a gal friend of mine says that she on more than one occasion has been caught stareing at men who interpret it the wrong way--they think she's attracted, but she stares at them because she finds them curiously repulsive. So you never truly know.

Lastly, it nonetheless sounds like she's interested in you. But if you give her a chance, don't let it be becuase she's pretty. Have you ever noticed that when a beautiful person is horrible on the inside, they become less attractive to you? Or that a person who is not attractive on the outside, but a good person on the inside becomes more attractive to you? I didn't notice my wife at all initially, but she's fantastic, man, and i love her so much. aside from just being awesome, and on top of everything else she contributes to our home, she makes me breakfast and irons my clothes for me every morning, and lays my clothes out on the bed. she does this for no reason other than the fact that she loves me and appreciates me. and believe me that i love and appreciate her as well.
