Some PRETTY, WHITE, FEMALE gets lost and the entire media gives you a play-by-play. If some UGLY CHINESE MALE was brutally murdered, it would be in the middle of the newspaper. Sheesh, there are more important things, such as frogs drying up and glaciers melting.

You lack of concern for a fellow human being is disgusting.
I feel the same way, and its not lack of concern for a fellow human being (okay, I admit it, I have no concerns in that regard, The rest of humanity can go f**k itself up the Arse for all I care) whats really disgusting is how the media is humping the search for the ratings, trying to play off of peoples feelings for the poor girl and her parents while the company hired to search for her is getting thousands of dollars to sit on their asses and say things like 'we found a whole in the jungle she Might have been temporarily buried in, maybe' when the obvious truth is that the damned poor girl is fish food, I don't mean to seem heartless here (honest, I was born that way) but there's nothing to be gained by searching any farther, the body was dumped in the ocean weeks ago and by now there's nothing left but bones. The company that the parents hired is BRUTALY taking advantage of the parents and the media is letting it happen, even harping on their 'efforts' and that fucking sickens me.

Mondoth's right, it's not lack of concern, it's being sick of the media going for ratings. I don't care about the run away bride or the kid who threw up on his teacher, I want to hear real news. I want to know about the downing street memo. I want to know what my goverment is doing, not that some neanderthal next door broke into the zoo to set free the fish with disasterous results...well on second thought...if it had anything to do with my personal safety I'd like to know, but this is seriously being over played.

I agree the media is exploiting her plight, but that's still no reason for people to talk about how they don't care she might be dead and that she deserved it and all the other horrible things people have been saying since this whole situation arose.

The Media-of course they are milking it.
You should never talk to strangers.
I feel sorry for her but whaf if its just another Run away Bride thing?
Which i doubt.
There already is a Natalee Holloway thread. Coping threads is pretty rude.

I can't believe the run away bride got a book deal. What a load of bull s***. There cannot be anything interesting about her life that we absolutley need to know that we haven't learned from news papers.
And I never said I didn't care that Natalie was dead or not. If she is, I am very sorry for her parents. I can't imagine what they're going through. If she is still alive, let out a cheer.

Trying to stir up the waters, eh? I haven't heard about the Memo in a while, and it's funny that you mentioned it.
I think the case with Natalee Holloway is more about the Aruban government trying to cover up a crime because they don't want people to stop visiting. I agree that the family is being given the run-around, but I can't see that the news stations would be doing this for ratings. When the story comes on, I listen to them babble about how the family is still getting the shaft, and then I turn it. Of course, Nancy what's-her-face is still covering the story like it happened yesterday, so maybe it worked for her.
I do hope that the family gets some closure relatively soon. That way they can go on with their lives and keep from digging themselves into a financial and emotional hole that they're already in deep enough.

I havn't heard anything about it, and I think it's more important than Miss-lost-in-Aruba or the runnaway bride now. (not saying that they don't deserve SOME coverage)

Her attractiveness is debatable. I don't see it. Just another average blonde caked with make-up.

OH MY GOD !!!
I just found a blond hair on a piece of tape!!!

Don't stare at me...For-The-Love-of-God...pick up your Phone and call...NOW!!!
There are times that I feel a sort of apathy directed towards Natalee Halloway. When this happens however, I just remind myself that her disapearence is not her fault.
The real enemy here are those who would do harm to others (i.e. the kidnappers) and those who blow stories out of proportion and prey on the remorse of families (i.e. the media).
