EDIT: Feck it. I made my decision as to what to do. Which is nothing. Because of my lack of creativity and my lack of enough hate for her.

Why seek revenge, that doesn't do anything. Just get over it and find someone else. She obviously didn't care about you that much if she did that, people who do that usually use the other person as a 'toy' But revenge won't solve anything. It's her fault, let her deal with it.

The best revenge would be sleeping with that friend, not flipping her off.

That said, revenge won't solve anything. You'll still hurt.

or try to pull off some ridiculous prank involving beans, mayonaisse and 3 frogs.

or pull a less ridiculous prank such as teepee her house, sprinkle her with itching powder, put a mayonaisse covered orange in her back pack, flaming bag full of poop on the door step of her house, flaming bag of poop in her back pack, spray her with a super soaker filled with your own urine, start nasty rumors, put a dead dog covered in mayonaisse on her porch.

There are many different options.

Salt her toothbrush.
Yeah! Making her teeth shine is an excellent revenge. I approve of this one.

My advice? Don't do it. There's enough misery in the world without adding to it. Just find someone else who's more worthy of a great person like you! :D

in these situations, there's no winning; just degrees of losing.

the best way to handle these situations is to impress everyone with being as mature about it as possible. anything negative you do is just going to be the subject of gossip among her and her stupid friends and make her look better for having the sense to break it off to you. besides, then it would be like "poor betsy; her ex-boyfriend keeps salting her toothbrush. he's such a loser. betsy is obviously too good for him!"

if you treat her like she's a nice person (she may not be) who simply lacked the intelligence to make a avoid an innocent error in judgment, you can eventually come out on top. it may take more than a month, but you will be judged by your actions. how do you want to be remembered? as the baby who flipped off her friends because he didn't get his way, or the guy who handled things maturely? nobody wants to date a guy who's going to act like a baby if it doesn't work out, but if you act maturely, they may give you a chance because the consequences of it not working out wouldn't be so terrible.

flipping off her friend is the single stupidest thing you could do because you're guaranteeing that the character assassinations and gossip will continue for months or years.

if you just remember that her breaking up with you proves that SHE sucks, and not you, it may make things easier.

find someone who loves you, like your mom, and ask that person to tell you some of the things that they like about you. if they make a joke response, tell them that you're serious because you could use some positive feedback. sometimes people look to the wrong place for validation; who cares what she thinks? i'm sure other people are grateful to have you in their life, even if they don't express it everyday.

forget it and move on. living well is the best revenge.

Second, if you have her contact info why wait until school starts to get an explanation? Get one now if that's what you want. Otherwise, ignore her and learn from it; think what sort of things she has in common with people you see playing others, and avoid that type of person.

First off, because people keep telling me to sleep with the best friend, keep in mind she's about three times my size. And I'm small enough.

Second, I've tried getting an explanation. Twice, in fact. Each time she managed to slip away. First the bell rang coincidentally and she had to rush to class, second time she was busy and that she wanted me to call back later that day (well amazingly I had to spend the rest of the day with mom so that didn't happen).

Third, she's waaaaaay too much like me in so many ways.

And fourth, I'm sick of calling her on her cell phone. Too much effort on my part to talk and I don't want to waste all that effort. Might as well corner her when school starts.

Oh, and fifth, her best friend keeps in regular contact with her. She seems like she knows what I've been trying to get at with her friend and I figure if I randomly flip her off as I pass her by she'll relay the message.

Six months later, he followed my advice. The date was September 11, 2001. ;)
