Didn't vote for who will get it, voted for who I would pick. :D

Alberto Gonzales. At least I hope that's who's picked. I actually kinda agree with him on most stuff.

I would pick Janice Rogers Brown (l particularly like what she told California that it was thievery taking away the hotel owner's property - eminent domain and all that). I think it's going to be either Luttig, or a surprise - Corrigan, a justice on the Michigan Supreme Court.

Looks like Jones and Luttig are running neck-and-neck with the online traders right now.

Who is most unappointable to the democrats and anyone somewhat socially liberal? There you will find your answer. Dubya is not a uniter, he's a divider.

I too picked who I only hoped would be picked (Gonzales). The Supreme Court could use some controversy, and he's about as "edgy and controversial" as any of the candidates are going to get.....

But in a realistic sense, I'm well aware he's likely to be shot down again.

Damn - the numbers just shot way up for Roberts! Anybody have any news from other sites on this?

Just checked Drudge, says senior administration official is saying it is Roberts.

I agree. I'd like to see him on the bench.

I think Bush is going to nominate Gonzales first, since they are already good buddies. Whether the Republicans and Democrats will let him in is a different matter though, since people on both sides are calling for his blood.

It is going to be Judge Judy! Bush loves the court TV, and she is the obvious pick. Forget boring CSPAN, Judge Judy will lay the smack down on anyone who sleeps with their mother's sister's baby's great-uncle's mailman and doesn't pay the bills!

Oh god, I'd want that just to see what she says to the paparazzi that will follow her around.

For some reason I can't get enough of that woman.

Yes it is Roberts. I didn't think it would be Clement. She's been in the news all day and normally those that are, don't get the position.

I'll be investigating Roberts.
