Hot or Cold?

We have interesting weather here on the East coast. It's roughly 90 degrees with almost 100% humidity. All this..."ickyness"...gave me a thought.

If you had the choice of burning up, or freezing alive, which would you prefer. Which extreme would you face?

Whenever it is freezing out, I'd say I prefer to sweat like a dog, but whenever it is disgustingly humid out, I'd say I'd rather freeze my ass off. Hence, the dillema.

Decisions...decisions...Get to it!

(And I told you the weather is nuts here. It's gonna thunder and I gotta shut this thing off before it fries! See ya in a few!)

I'm pro-cold weather, but I'm Canadian, so I might be biased.

Look at it this way. If it's cold, you can stay inside and throw on more and more layers. If it's hot, you can only take off so much, and it tends to be just as warm indoors as outdoors, if not worse.

Given my location, cold! It makes you appreciate chest hair even more.

I voted for freeze to death...

but then I quite genuinely don't understand the concept of "cold"...

I'll go outside in the middle of January in a T-Shirt and when a mate says "Nippy out today i'n't it?" My likely response will be "Cold My Arse!! Ya Marde Get!!!"

I luckily selected a place where it doesn't ever get really warm or even hot in summer (25 Celsius and people start talking about a heat wave), but then neither does it get very cold in winter, there's hardly ever any snow.

Now, I don't miss the hot and humid summers in Germany, but I do miss the cold winters...

I've never minded the cold. Even if I did, it never gets all that cold in this area of Michigan, especially not in my town (we always seem to be in a mysterious warm pocket of air). For all that you're able to do outside during the summer that you can't do during any other season, when I'm sitting at the computer with my lack of airconditioning I sometimes find myself wishing it were about 70 degrees cooler outside. So yeah, on those exremely hot and muggy days I'd much rather be freezing my butt off.

But not today! Our weather (http://www.wunderground.com/US/MI/Manistee.html) is the best it has been in a long time! :)

When I lived in NC for a year I definitely longed for a change of seasons. I played football in a T-shirt on X-Mas day. That is weird. It's like summer, fall, spring, summer. No winter. That sucked.

BTW, when I first encountered the adjective "nippy" I unterstood "nipply" and it still made sense... :p

Cold. It might even preserve you. ;)
