Does anybody else find it incredibly exciting how if you search for 'the answer to life, the universe, and everything' on Google, you get the answer '42?'

Obvious die-hard Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy fan here...

Wasn't the movie incredibly depressing and a complete waste of time? Of course, I've actually found that non-readers found it fairly good.

It's a shame that through Douglas Adams' death, Disney was able to make such an incredible piece of crap.

Douglas Adams wrote the entire screenplay, so I don't know what you're bitching about. Parts were taken from different versions of it, but the whole thing still came from him.

Seriously?

The Economist said that because he died they were able to change things around and thus unite Trillian and Arthur. Apparently Douglas Adams was being incredibly demanding about the movie and so little progress was being made.

But if I was wrong, sorry for bitching, but in my opinion it was still a major let down... Even more so if Douglas Adams wrote it.

Everything I've read stated that they pretty much cut and pasted different versions that Adams wrote and created the movie. I can honestly see a remake with a different version at some point.

If I ever get into the movie business, or whatever, i'd like to endorse it. Of course, there's an incredibly small chance of that... But still, no one can get enough of The Guide.
