I'm really, really enjoying the new album. I didn't like them (actually didn't listen to them much) before this album, but it is really, really good.

Anyway, here's some info on who "they" really are.

They're drawn by Jamie Hewlett, who created the Tank Girl comic.

The voices are done by:
Blur's Daman Albarn
Cibo Matto's Miho Hatori
Tom Tom Club's Tina Weymouth
Tom Tom Club's Chris Fantz
Del the Funkee Homosapien

Dan "The Automator" Nakamura and Kid Koala do the music.

Recently I tried to stomach some of their music. It's so horrible

What kind of music do you like?

Oh, early rock, classical, etc. Gorillaz always seemed commercial and uninteresting.

But if it's your cup of tea, so be it.

I'm not a fan of "early" rock, but the Gorillaz, in my opinion, are a lot closer to it than a lot of other modern-day bands...

Heh. As soon as you said Tina Weymouth and Del the Funkee Homosapien, I knew who you were talking about without even clicking the link... ~chuckle~

The band has some cool songs, but they also have some mediocre ones. I wouldn't say they were great, but they're better than a lot of the crap you hear on the radio these days...

What link?

...and doesn't the image give it away?

Either way, I've been a minor fan of Del the Funkee Homosapien since I first heard him on some PSX game's soundtrack...
