Just a quick hitter tonight since I have to work early in the morning--yeah, us liberals have real jobs too, no matter what Limbaugh tells some of you.

So here's Tom Tomorrow, with the various spin points the Republicans have been spewing out their pieholes.

I love Tom Tomorrow.

I borrowed from a friend this huge treasury of Tom Tomorrow cartoons a few months ago. I read a compalation of his first few years of cartoons and what inspired them...he's VERY strange. Very bitter.

Near as I can tell, I think he's published only about 5 cartoons with non-snide compliments in them...ever. Every other cartoon is ripping the hell out of someone or another.

He worked his sharpened tounge through the first Bush administration, wielded his wit like a sword all through the Clinton administration, and has retained all of his bitter insight through W's terms.

Bitter is such a relative term.

Jaded is more like it.

I'll go out on a limb and suggest that he may be both. ;)

"If we confuse them with bullshit, they're sure to acquit!"

Too bad there's no charges pending. :D

Maybe the cartoonist just needs to redefine "they'll," and "acquit," for his purpose, and it'll make more sense. Ethics or no, Rove won Bush four elections, and that'll burn these guys for life, whether he gets life in prison, or a sack of gold doubloons for the effort. ;)

No charges? Hmm? A 2 year JD investigation, and you are sure there will be no charges?

Rove might have won Bush 4 elections.

He may very well have tipped the balance of power back the Democrats way.

The more the White House delays, the longer this whole thing drags into election season.

Uhh...three and a half years, now. It's a bit of a stretch.

I'm sure you're aware of the phrase, "Mid-term elections"?

Dimly. I'm from another country. We're not all up on the peculiarities of American election schedules.

The House and The Senate have members who are up for re-election in 2006.
