Best Commercial Theme Music

Okay, it's Sunday. Let's take a day off from partisan squabbles and argue 'bout the best theme music for a TV commercial.

My vote is for "Rock and Roll" by Led Zepplin. Cadillac made a great choice with this song, especially in the early years of the campaign when they played more of it. Turns out the first choice was "Break On Through" by the Doors, but one of the band members wouldn't give his permission to use the song because he hated GM. Sometimes things just work out for the best. "Rock and Roll" is a superior song for TV, anyway. I might have leaned toward ZZ Top, but that's just personal preference.

I think another contender might be "Start Me Up" by the Rolling Stones. That was used in the Windows 95 campaign.

"What Do I Get" by the Buzzcocks on a Toyota commercial.

It was great because of the irony.

An old commercial for Suzuki motorcycles used 'Born to be Wild'. For years afterwards I couldn't help but add whenever I'd hear the chorus:
"Bornnnnn to be WILD.....Suzuki!!"

Using "Lord won't you buy me a Mercedes Benz" for MB commercials was fairly inspired, even putting aside the irony of using a song railing against shallow consumerism.

The most addicting would have to go to the Lime and Coke commercials with Coconut by Harry Nilsson. Followed closely by The Whistle Song by PJ Olsson for Starburst (I think it was starburst, but maybe it was skittles)

Modest Mouse's "Gravity Rides Everything" from a Nissan commercial is my favorite.
