It only ever seems to appear on NationStates.
Is it a real culture?

Bigtopian (Big-toe-pee-N)-n- A new ethnicity of humanity, different from other ethnicities in that they are generally obese, believed to have originated in the United States of America due to the mass amount of fat, lazy human beings that find it difficult to get out of a chair to change the channel, or eat something worth a damn for once

I figured they were the kind of people who live in the Circus. You know, the Big Top?
Bigtopians could be bearded ladies, snake woman, werewolf, sword-swallower, elephant rider, trapeze artist,and the like.
Oh, and NO, im not a Bigtopian.
Ok, now for a serious answer...
"Bigtopia", I think, was the name of a nation created by Max Barry or someone who knew him in the early stages of the game. Thus it's a sort of private joke between Max and...well [violet], if they're not the same person (which I doubt. Max = [violet] and I have proof.) but that's besides the point.
