Diplomacy Finatics Gather here!!!!

It's been almost a month and a half since my last post and i'm looking to make a great comeback.

For those who are aware, a game exists by the name of diplomacy (sorry for those who thought I was talking about real life scenarios!) and there is a certain site I would like to mention for those interested in playing the hobby game online. If I get enough responses, I'll post it since I don't want the mods thinking this is some stupid ad.

Beyond that though. I was going to try to organize a game to play here since the server is down and the 5 games I'm involved with cannot have orders issued currently. I own the game and have some copies of the map that i can mark up, scan, and post as attachments. Players can post their orders and press as well. If a press is meant to be delivered directly from one player to another, it can go through the Nationstates server itself so private contacts aren't compromised.

If you're interested in the game, just post a response stating such and ask for what your top three countries are. Once we get 6 others (besides myself) round Spring 1900 will commence after the officiation and organization of powers!

Thx for reading and show interest quickly enough so we can get a game started!! Also, if more that 6 others show up, don't think you can't play. We might end up looking for replacements due to players not staying in the game for w/e reason. Also, the game will be started in an alternate thread so this thread should only be used for organization's sake.

I would be all for playing as long as I don't get a job and lose all my free time in a flash. I always liked Britain (I have a move called the Yorkshire Pudding, and I love to put the Squeeze on Brest), Russia (Who doesn't enjoy playing commie once in a while at least?), and Italy (Because no one likes them).

Gimme Russia! (or England or Turkey)
I'd suggest getting 8 players though. Maybe have a GM.

Where I come from, historical innacuracy is one of the prime selling points of the game!

I can play and be GM. Orders will be msged to me on days considered "innegotiable" which would prevent anyone from changing their plans after orders are submitted. Players that didn't issue orders on set days would have their nations considered to be in civil disorder and would have their units hold for the turn. Otherwise, if the other guys don't like that, I can be GM and not play. I would just have to have all players periodically directly msg me so it would be known that the players are actively involved.

Does it involve downloading some sort of software? If not, I'm game. Hell, I'll try anything once ( well, almost anything! ), twice if I like it! :D

I'd prefer the US, since that's the nation with which I am most familiar, but if it's not available, I'll take whatever. :)

Players are Austria-Hungary, France, Germany, England, Russia, Italy, and Turkey. I suggest going to the Diplomacy Archive (http://www.diplomacy-archive.com/) if you don't know the rules.

back to historical inaccuracies again - surely the power is Prussia, not Germany?

The original version had Germany. I have a version that says Prussia but still....

No it won't require any downloads. It'll be done on paper and I'll scan the map into my computer and attach it to posts.

If you want to play the game online (still no downloads) you can go to the following site that I promised on mentioning earlier:

www.diplom.org

This site is known as the diplomacy pouch. You can also link to a game server site ONLY ON THE MAIN PAGE by clicking on DPJudge. The server is currently down but will soon be up and running again. You can also click on look for available openings in case u want to play on servers other than USDP (the default US server). Many maps are available including Canton and Imperial maps which take place in Asia and worldwide (respectively).

Tell me when you guys wanna play and we can start the game!!
