Well, what do YOU think the funniest movie of all time is?

Personally, it has to be Airplane!. Perhaps the best one-liners of any movie to date.

*no poll coming, because i'm a lazy bastard*

I just saw Airplane again a couple days ago, so it's my first choice.

But Blazing Saddles, Blues Brothers, and Caddy Shack are all movies that I just laugh all the way through, too.

I'm not sure. I thought Mr. & Mrs. Smith was the most hilarious one I'd seen in a while, but I do love Space Balls. I think Monty Python is highly overrated, though.

I'm not entirely sure what the funniest movie ever was, since there are different levels of funny.

For a quick-witted, fast-paced banter that happens to be hilarious, check out Jules and Vince verbally spar in Pulp Fiction. I especially love the car-cleaning scene: "In fact, what the f#&$ am I doing back here!? You blew the motherf&@%ers head off; you're on brain detail!"

For sight gags, I'm not sure I've ever seen a sight as funny as Mark Hamill doing a bongsaber duel as Cock-knocker in Jay and Silent Bob Strike, although the Pod Scene in This Is Spinal Tap comes extremely close.

For insult humor, As Good As It Gets is absolutely ruthless: "How do you write women so well?" "I think of a man, and then I take away reason and accountability."

For underground cult hits, Jesus Christ: Vampire Hunter (yes, you read that right) is pretty freakin' hilarious. I especially loved the clown car full of atheists that provided a never-ending, fantastically terrible fight sequence.

Overall, I can't really pick one. Airplane!, This is Spinal Tap, There's Something about Mary, South Park: BLaU, and Team America are all really, really funny movies. I would have a hard time picking one, because they are all uniquely hilarious in their own way.

1. Any MP/Screwed
2. Spaceballs
3. Empire of the Rising Sun - Based on a true story about WW2 based in a Japanese occupied China internment camp. Some funny lines/actions are:

English Boy:"I surrender, I surrender"
Japanese Soldier: "I surrender, I surrender" (making fun of the boy in front of his platoon)

English boy:*Starts singing Japanese anthem while seeing Kamikazees getting prepared to start flying, and suiciding*
Various Japanese people:*Stares and sings*
Kamikazees: *Take off*
B52s: *Blows up Kamikazees before they get off the runway*
Boy: GO B52s THE CATALACS OF THE SKY
Various English people: Get off the roof, you don't want to be bombed
Boy:*Runs up on a roof*

Thats all I saw for that movie.

omg have any of you seen "Top Secret" it's fantastic
brilliant,

just to list some of the things that makes it so hillarious

cow suits with big black boots
giant pigeon statues
nazi commie east germans
funny french names
fireplaces that follow people and wear parachutes
train stations on wheels
really big telephones
and underwater bar fights

it's rather dated but still hilariously random, anyone who enjoys strange and random humor MUST SEE THIS MOVIE!

Agreed, those are some pretty good choices. I would add "A Fish Called Wanda" to that list. If you want classic, then "Some Like it Hot" is great, best last line of any movie ever made.

I beg to differ, "Clear and Present Danger", "Evil Dead: Army of Darkness", "The Good, The Bad and the Ugly", "Se7en", "King Kong", "Seven Samurai" and "A Clockwork Orange" are all worthy equals for best last lines.

Wrong. The funniest part of that movie is them arguing about their names.
