SUMMARY: Researchers at the University of California at Los Angeles say Latinos and Latinas account for nearly one-third of individuals in same-sex couples in the state.
"Latinos in same-sex couples look more like other Latinos than other gay couples. They're also much more likely to raise children than their non-Latino gay counterparts," Gates told the PlanetOut Network, noting that more than half of those same-sex couples are raising children -- about 33,000 in all.

well, of course they're going to look more like a latino than another gay person would. it's cause they are latino, hahaha! i don't know, but nomatter what a latino would do, they would still be more like a latino that other people doing that since they are a latino. you wouldn't expect them to suddenly be british, would you?

The study says it wants to raise the visibility of latino same-sex couples, because the majority of same sex couples are portrayed as white, urban males.

Interesting, I wonder why is that.. and what do they mean exactly when they say "latinos". It's not like all latinos are the same. There are differences you know, like the "Europeans" for example.

You do realize that this is a non-story right? What is the percentage of Californians that are Hispanic? I’ll tell ya, 46.7% If Latinos only make up a third of the gay population of California, then for every 100 Latinos to every 100 Whites, more whites are homosexuals than Latinos, by a 2 to 1 ratio.

The point the journalist here was really making was a general homosexual article at all, one that would make people talk about it, and as someone else once said: All publicity is good publicity.
