Becuase, even though since we don't believe in forcing people to convert and we're all going to hell for not being christian or doing some tiny thing wrong (apparenley I'm going to the sixth level of hell) we are still humans and tend to not won't people to get hurt for making complete morons of themselves.

You a Mormon? They are the only people I know of (Christian wise) who still try to convert people. As for preaching in Jerusalem only about a quarter are Jewish (the rest are muslim or Orthodox Christians) so have fun, but keep in mind that the ones who are intollerant to the threats to their beliefs are usually well armed in that part of the world.

You don't seem to realize, it seems, that they already have a religion that speaks of life, love, ect. In fact, if I am not wrong (I may be, religion is not my strong point),theirs was the 'old testament'. There are some things in it that are very outdated, but all in all it's not too much different from contemporary christianity.

Btw.. Jeruselam? If your Christian.. I heard there's a number of great booming churches there already.

Unless your belief is something else, then have fun.

But If your a Christian, I suggest going somewhere else, India, China or Africa. Don't just preach, do charity as well.

Maybe you'd be more effective doing volunteer work in an underdeveloped country in Africa or Southeast Asia. You'll run into more people there who haven't heard your message, and you could actually help them in a tangible way at the same time by doing relief work, housing construction, and that sort of thing.

They might not have the best internet access, but you'd really be improving lives. I don't go myself because I don't know The Truth or The Way, and I'd hate to impose my pagan teachings on them. You seem quite qualified to superimpose your belief system on them, and quite willing. When you meet these people who have only known suffering, pain, hunger, and poverty, be sure to tell them you understand The Meaning of Life better than they do. Bring sandwiches, and I'm sure they'll pay very close attention while you speak.

Guess what? They now have this nifty invention there called "automobiles." I wouldn't advise standing in the streets while delivering your message, or you might just find out what they think of proselytizing (which is probably more important than what we think of it, by the way).

I'm a little worried, I don't think you've thought this through properly, if you really want to deal with the Jewish problem you will need a *Final Solution*

First, let's look at Joseph's lineage, as dictated in the book of Matthew:

"And Josias begat Jechonias and his brethren, about the time they were carried away to Babylon: And after they were brought to Babylon, Jechonias begat Salathiel; and Salathiel begat Zorobabel..."

Notice that this part of the lineage is drawn through Jechonias (Jeconiah), and mentions, by name, Jeconiah's line (Salathiel... and then, Zorobabel).


Second, let us briefly examine the 'other' lineage (the one often claimed to be Mary's lineage instead - since the two do not agree):

"Which was the son of Joanna, which was the son of Rhesa, which was the son of Zorobabel, which was the son of Salathiel, which was the son of Neri..."

Notice that we are again seeing Salathiel and Zorobabel.


Third, one of the alleged requirements for Messiah, is that he will sit upon the Throne of David:

"For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this...


Which brings me to the first of the problems... the fact that Jesus wouldn't be able to sit on David's throne... because:

"Thus saith the LORD, Write ye this man childless, a man that shall not prosper in his days: for no man of his seed shall prosper, sitting upon the throne of David, and ruling any more in Judah..."

and:

"Therefore thus saith the LORD of Jehoiakim king of Judah; He shall have none to sit upon the throne of David: and his dead body shall be cast out in the day to the heat, and in the night to the frost..."

The 'line' of David THROUGH Jeconiah, is cursed - such that NONE of Jeconiah's seed may EVER sit upon the Throne of David.

Thus - The Matthew lineage forbids Jesus from being Messiah, because he is directly descended from Jeconiah.

And - just in case it is ever argued that the Luke lineage should be followed instead:

"I will be his father, and he shall be my son. If he commit iniquity, I will chasten him with the rod of men, and with the stripes of the children of men..."

And:

[QUOTE=First Chronicles 17:11-14]"And it shall come to pass, when thy days be expired that thou must go to be with thy fathers, that I will raise up thy seed after thee, which shall be of thy sons; and I will establish his kingdom. He shall build me an house, and I will stablish his throne for ever. Messiah is to come from the line of Solomon.

Contrast this with the Luke lineage (as I said, often argued to be Mary's lineage) - and you find that THIS lineage is directly blocked on a second front:

"Which was the son of Melea, which was the son of Menan, which was the son of Mattatha, which was the son of Nathan, which was the son of David.."

Clearly, the Luke lineage follows through Nathan, not Solomon - so no child of THIS lineage could ever be Messiah... even without the Jeconiah issue.
